There's The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Van-Halen, U2, and Wyld Stallyns.
Not familiar with the last band? Maybe the names Ted Logan and Bill S. Preston, Esq. ring a bell.
Keanu Reeves, who played Ted in 1989's Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure said a third movie about the time-traveling slackers would be "fun."
It would just be us older guys playing the characters - we'd be older and it would be funny; they're supposed to save the world and they're turning 50.
Reeves has been trying to get a third Bill & Ted movie off the ground. He said he has had talks with Alex Winter, who played Bill, and writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon.
You know, I've spoken and had some meetings with the writers and Alex. I don't really know any details of the plot - I know there's a lot of time-traveling. Chris and Ed, the writers, are doing a draft on spec. They're taking it into their own hands and writing a script. I haven't seen it yet.
Reeves is in London preparing for his latest movie 47 Ronin.
"47 Ronin is the reason why I'm in London right now. We're in training and we start filming in March. Training and the sword fighting is going fine.
The original Bill & Ted became somewhat of a cult hit. The movie was followed by 1991's Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, which according to Rotten Tomatoes was not as well liked as the original. But who knows. After a 20 year hiatus, maybe audiences are ready to be excellent to each other.
