First Full-Length Trailer for Scream 4
01.16.11 by BJSprecher
Ol' Ghostface is back and he's up to his old shenanigans in the sleepy town of Woodsboro. Neve Campbell returns as Sidney Prescott, slasher survivor, in Scream 4, the latest installment of director Wes Craven's popular horror movie franchise that began as something of a satirical analysis of the horror movie conventions that had become a cliché by the '90s. But by Scream 3, the series became a basis of a whole franchise of horror movie satires (the Scary Movie series) itself.
In the newest installment, when Sydney makes Woodsboro the last stop on her book-signing tour, Ghostface returns, killing victims in a manner consistent with the movie-within-a-movie, Stab, on the anniversary of the original Woodsboro killings. Sydney turns to her old friends, Sheriff Dwight "Dewey" Riley (David Arquette) and newswoman-turned-author Gale Weathers (Courteny Cox Arquette), who are now married (as in real life), to help her catch the killer before her cousin
(Emma Roberts) and aunt (Mary McDonnell) become the masked madman's next victims.
