Kyra Sedgwick Joins Jeffrey Dean Morgan for the Sam Raimi-Produced Dibbuk Box

While 2009's Drag Me to Hell was the first horror movie that Sam Raimi had directed in many years, the former Spider-Man director had continued to produce them, including 2004's The Grudge and its 2006 sequel and 2007's 30 Days of Night, to name a few. Raimi's latest horror effort is Dibbuk Box, which follows a divorced couple whose child becomes obsessed with a wooden box haunted by a spirit that wants to devour its human host.
Deadline reports that Kyra Sedgwick has been cast opposite Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the formerly married couple. Ole Bornedal (Deliver Us From Evil) will direct the movie from a script by Juliet Snowden and Stiles White (Knowing).
Lionsgate has scheduled Dibbuk Box for an October 28 release date, the spot usually held for its Saw movies. Shooting will likely begin when Sedgwick finishes work on the final season of TNT's The Closer.
