Peter Facinelli and Robert Pattinson Talk About Shooting Breaking Dawn's Final Scene

While there's still a good three months of filming left for the two-part Breaking Dawn finale, the final moments of Part 2 have already been shot. Peter Facinelli — who plays Dr. Carlise Cullen, the head of the Cullen Clan — told MTV, "The other day when we shot that ending sequence, we knew that was the ending of the last two movies and it got a little melancholy."
Who's in that scene and what happens? Facinelli was more tight-lipped on those details, saying only "Lots of vampires." Thankfully, Robert Pattinson had more to say.
There's like a 27-minute sequence in the final sequence, and it takes forever to shoot. There's about 75 people in it. Being on a piece of fake snow surrounded by green screen for like a month, it's driving me absolutely insane."
Shooting the two movies at once has been "brutal" for the cast, but Facinelli credits director Bill Condon with keeping the set calm and productive.
Bill Condon's fantastic. He's such a great actors' director. He's really collaborative. He's a joy to work with. He's very relaxed all the time. You never see him sweat.
Breaking Dawn: Part 1 is due in theaters this fall (November 18, 2011) with Part 2 to follow a year later (November 16, 2012).
