James Cameron is continuing his journey of changing modern cinema to 3-D with
Sanctum, which Alister Grierson directed and Cameron produced. Shot in the 3-D, Sanctum follows a master diver (Richard Roxburgh) and a team of underwater cave divers who suddenly find themselves trapped in a cave system after a tropical storm hits.
The movie was loosely based on co-screenwriter Andrew Wight's real-life experience of being trapped in a cave system while diving. With the movie's opening right around the corner, Universal has released 3 new clips from the movie which show a little of what the group has to do to get out of the cave system.
Prior to entering the cave, Carl (Ioan Gruffudd) and Josh (Rhys Wakefield) find different methods to arrive at the mouth of the cave.
Once trapped, Victoria (Alice Parkinson) and the team attempt to climb up a waterfall.
As water begins filling the cave, the group plans its escape.
