Latest X-Men: First Class Set Photos Show Oliver Platt as the Man in Black

When Oliver Platt was cast last August in director Matthew Vaughn's upcoming adaptation of X-Men: First Class, his role as the non-mutant character "The Man in Black" was as mysterious to comic book fans as it was likely intended. When Ray Wise announced he was cast as the Secretary of State of the United States in the movie, the actor mentioned Platt amongst the cast members he would be joining, perhaps an indication that the two might share some scenes and that the "Man in Black" could have some governmental ties.
While that speculation of association may sound, well, speculatory, the latest "spy photos" from the First Class set shows Platt walking with James McAvoy, Rose Byrne, and Jennifer Lawrence dressed in a black suit reminiscent of some kind of CIA agent, while another photo shows several other black suit-wearing individuals looking over a car that has been crushed by a huge piece of concrete, with the military in the background.
The photos don't exactly reveal who Platt is, so at least fans only have to wait until June 3 for the whole movie to be revealed. Michael Fassbender, January Jones, Caleb Landry Jones, Nicholas Hoult,
Lucas Till, Zoe Kravitz, Edi Gathegi, and Kevin Bacon co-star.
