Rosamund Pike to Clash in Wrath of the Titans

Wrath of the Titans, Warner Bros.' sequel to Clash of the Titans will have several familiar faces, including Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Gemma Arterton, and Ralph Fiennes. But it won't have Alexa Davalos.
Variety reports that Rosamund Pike (Die Another Day) is in negotiations to take over for Davalos, who played Princess Andromeda in the 2010 remake. In the movie, as well as Greek Mythology, Hades (Fiennes) plots to sacrifice Andromeda to the Kraken, but is defeated by Perseus (Worthington) after Zeus (Neeson) loudly (and memorably) proclaims that the Kraken should be released.
Pike has been rumored for several roles of late, including Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class and a female lead role in the Superman reboot.
Wrath of the Titans is scheduled to go into production in March from a script by Dan Mazeau and David Leslie Johnson and under the direction of Jonathan Liebesman. Wrath opens March 30, 2012.
