Tiger Woods was paid $3M to play in Dubai last week, but will be a few thousand dollars lighter after the European Tour fined him for spitting on the 12th green during Sunday's final round. Woods also spit on the 2nd tee on Friday's second round, prompting Sky Sports' Ewen Murray to comment it was "one of the ugliest things you will ever see on a golf course." After spitting on the green on Sunday — right next to the hole — Murray said "somebody now has to come behind him and maybe putt over his spit. It does not get much lower than that." Woods took to Twitter yesterday to apologize.
In a lengthy interview with GQ, "Achy Breaky Heart" singer Billy Ray Cyrus says allowing daughter Miley Cyrus to star on Disney's Hannah Montana show "destroyed my family," and that he's "scared for Miley" after the salvia bong smoking, pole dancing, and racy Vanity Fair photo shoot, and feels helpless to do anything about it.
Yesterday Charlie Sheen was a guest on The Dan Patrick Show and said sobriety "bores" him, and that smoking crack is bad "unless you can manage it socially." This is contrary to advice Sheen gave to the UCLA baseball team last week, when he told players to "Stay off the crack. Drink chocolate milk."
The prosecutor in the Lindsay Lohan stolen necklace case believes the jewelry is in fact worth $2500, but admits proving that value is ultimately up to the jury. If that's the case, expect LiLo to be charged with merely a misdemeanor, since under California law a stolen item must be valued at more than $950 to be filed as a felony.
