Olivia Wilde to Take Over for Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider Reboot?

It's been eight years since Academy Award-winning actress Angelina Jolie last suited up as Eidos' popular video game-heroine-come-to-life in Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life and more than two years since it was announced that Warner Bros. planned to reboot the franchise by going back to the origins of the character. Now, there's word that an actress may have been found who has what it takes to embody the role that Jolie made famous on screen. According to TheFanCarpet, up-and-coming actress Olivia Wilde is "being lined up" to become the new Lara Croft in the franchise reboot, which an anonymous "source close to the project" revealed will be "far darker and more serious" in tone than the first two movies.
The idea is to get a top director and an intelligent script and make this an empowering character for women as well as a popular one with men. Olivia is just one of the names being suggested for the lead role. She would appear to be ideal.
