Bill Murray Takes the Blame for Ghostbusters III Delay

The script is in for the much-talked-about third chapter in the Ghostbusters franchise and original director Ivan Reitman and principal cast members Dan Aykroyd (Ray Stantz), Harold Ramis (Egon Spengler), and Sigourney Weaver (Dana Barrett) are all on board. So what's the holdup? According to Bill Murray (Peter Venkman), he is the problem.
Murray hasn't had too many nice things to say (any, really) about Ghostbusters III so far, first calling it "his nightmare," and then criticizing Reitman and the movie's screenwriters — The Office's Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky — for their last collaboration, Year One, which he admitted he didn't even see. Now, Murray has owned up to his part in the movie's delay, confessing to Howard Stern, via NME, that he hasn't read the script yet because it's not a priority for him.
Before I was an asset, [but] now I'm a problem. There's a script somewhere, but I haven't read it yet. I only made one sequel and it was Ghostbusters II and it didn't end up the way it was presented.... Ivan wants to make it and I owe him. He's puzzled that I haven't gotten to this one. I'll get to it, I feel bad. I got a message and I think people — I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings — it's not the foremost thing in my mind, so I don't think about it.
