Nicholas Hoult to Play a Romantic Zombie in Warm Bodies

Nicholas Hoult is filling up his post-X-Men: First Class schedule. After donning blue fur to play the mutant X-Man Beast, First Class producer Bryan Singer was impressed enough to cast Hoult as the lead in his upcoming
Jack the Giant Killer. After that, Hoult will play a romantic member of the undead.
Deadline reports that director Jonathan Levine (50/50) has hired Hoult to play the lead in
the zombie love story Warm Bodies, based on a novel by Isaac Marion, which won't be released until April 26. Marion's novel began as the short story "I Am a Zombie Filled With Love" and will follow Hoult as "an existentially tormented zombie" who befriends the girlfriend of one of his victims. Levine is adapting the script for the movie, which was originally announced over a year ago.
Hoult will begin shooting Warm Bodies once he finished work on Jack the Giant Killer. Summit Entertainment, the production company responsible for turning vampires into romantic entities in The Twilight Saga movies, is overseeing the project.
