Michael Ealy Enters a New Dawn with Underworld 4

Shooting is underway for the fourth installment of the Underworld franchise, titled Underworld: New Dawn. Vancouver is Awesome released some set photos from the Vancouver set, with pictures of Kate Beckinsale's stunt double jumping from a building proving that the leather costumes of the previous Underworld movies will still be in effect in the sequel.
New Dawn sees Beckinsale return to the franchise after stepping out for third installment (and prequel) Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. Joining her is Michael Ealy (Takers), who Deadline reports will play a police detective who hunts down the vampiress only to end up teaming up with her as she tries to take down the evil BioCom after waking from a 15-year coma.
New Dawn was written by
J. Michael Straczynski and John Hlavin and is directed by Mans Marlind and Björn Stein (Shelter). Len Wiseman, who directed 2003's Underworld and 2006's Underworld: Evolution will produce the sequel, which opens in 3-D on January 20, 2012.
