Fox Searchlight has leapt to Natalie Portman's defense after Black Swan dancing double Sarah Lane claimed that only 5% of the full body shots are of Portman, saying in a statement that "Natalie herself did most of the dancing featured in the final film." Lane had wondered aloud, "Can you become a concert pianist in a year and a half, even if you're a movie star?" and added, "she (Portman) doesn't look like a professional ballet dancer at all and she can't dance in pointe shoes. And she can't move her body, she's very stiff."
Britney Spears did all her own dancing at a San Francisco concert on Sunday, which will air on Good Morning America on Tuesday. One has to wonder if her cheeky performance is appropriate for network morning news.
