The movie adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's bestselling tweener vampire novel, Twilight, hasn't even hit theaters yet and rumors of a franchise have started.
According to ShockTilYouDrop.com, Summit Entertainment is gearing up to bring Twilight's sequel, New Moon, to the big screen for release in 2009.
While the actual fate of a New Moon movie is surely just speculation at this point, the considerable and active fanbase for the Twilight series will surely make the sequel (and onwards) a reality. Posted 07.09.08 by reelz
Buried in the fourth paragraph of The Hollywood Reporter's update on Quentin Tarantino's long-delayed Inglorious Bastards is the news that "Brad Pitt's name has surfaced" in talks regarding the World War II flick's ensemble cast. Decide for yourself just exactly what that means; I imagine that it indicates the globe-trotting serial adopter is interested in joining the project. Sounds cool -- let's just hope he doesn't invite pals George Clooney and Matt Damon along and turn it into Ocean's Seventeen.
According to DeadlineHollywoodDaily, Tarantino is shopping the project, a remake of Enzo Castellari's 1978 cult hit of the same name (re-releasing on DVD on July 29th) around to several major studios, much to the chagrin of longtime backer Harvey Weinstein. Stay tuned -- this one could get interesting. Posted 07.09.08 by reelz

Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy II: The Golden Army hits screens nationwide this Friday. Posted 07.08.08 by reelz
As usual, Reelz.com got an early look at the movie and today we've got the full Hellboy II: The Golden Army review.
High school is hard enough for some kids, but it seems that Spencer Breslin's prematurely balding character in Harold may have a particularly tough road ahead of him. With a fairly strong supporting cast around him (Cuba Gooding Jr, Ally Sheedy, and Nikki Blonski) and a head of hair that reminds us of Seinfeld's George Castanza, Breslin's new comedy looks like it will deliver some good laughs. Look for it in theaters this weekend in L.A., N.Y., and Miami.
Sacha Baron Cohen's latest incarnation, the flamboyantly gay Austrian talk-show host Bruno, is already raising eyebrows as the Borat creator gathers material for his latest comedy.
Yesterday, former Israeli Defense Forces intelligence officer Yossi Alpher sheepishly revealed in The Forward that he'd been lured into an interview with Bruno under the guise of discussing Israeli-Palestinian relations. Expecting a frank discussion of Middle East affairs, Alpher was instead subjected to Bruno's (admittedly not altogether hilarious) butchering of the word "Hamas."
Today, AP reports that a pair of Arkansas towns recently fell victim to suspiciously Bruno-esque pranks. Last month, residents of Texarkana and Fort Smith bought tickets for "Blue Collar Brawlin'," advertised as "Hot Chicks, Cold Beer and Hardcore Fights." But instead of good old-fashioned cage-fighting, attendees were treated to some seriously egregious man-on-man PDA action. While Cohen wasn't spotted at the events, the pranks bear all the earmarks of the comedian's handiwork.
Cohen might want to watch his back. Cage fighting aficionados and Mossad agents are two groups you do not want on your bad side. Posted 07.08.08 by reelz
