What movie? 1992's Glengarry Glen Ross. The movie, based on David Mamet's Pulitzer-winning stage pay (Mamet also wrote the movie's script), is about four underhanded real estate salesmen who sink to varying levels of deceit in order to sell their dubious properties.
Who's in it? The cast is unparalleled. Not only do you have legends like Al Pacino, Jack Lemon, Alan Arkin, and Ed Harris headlining but even the movie's small supporting cast is filled with heavyweights like Kevin Spacey and Alec Baldwin, who gives one hell of a memorable monologue.
Why we recommend it: Critics have called the movie brilliant, gutsy, clever, and genius. The dialogue is incredibly sharp and very quotable. Though the scope of the movie is small, the storytelling and acting are grand and poignant. Though the movie didn't do well at the box office, it has gone on to become somewhat of a cult hit and has inspired other movies (most notably Boiler Room).
