Could a sequel to 1996's Trainspotting still be in the works? According to director Danny Boyle, yes. Boyle told Moviefone that the long-rumored sequel could become a reality.
"It will happen, I think," said Boyle. ""I mean, we'll approach [the cast] again about it, but it will depend on what place they're all at. We have a very strong idea that it would be a wonderful thing to reapproach, to do again, when they have aged clearly into a mid-life kind of crisis, basically. They're not quite there yet, I don't think." Ewan Mcgregor isn't hooked >> Posted 12.08.10 by Ryan
According to Daniel Radcliffe in an interview for Empire magazine, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is, in some aspects, similar to Trainspotting. While none of the characters in JK Rowling’s book ever have sex or do heroine, Radcliffe says that there is a lot of “sexual energy and drug parallels.” As the main characters in the series get older, they encounter more of these adult situations everyone does at some point in their life, although it’s doubtful that they’ll be quite as explicit as in Trainspotting. The newest Potter film is still expected to be very dark but it will also have some more light-hearted moments as Harry and Ron try to win a date. Posted 07.07.08 by reelz
