There's a fair amount of discussion on the interwebs about which clichéd line appears more frequently than any other in the movies. While there are a few contenders, one that's cited again and again is "Let's get out of here!" One enthusiastic movie fan created a supercut of people saying the line or variations of it, and it's amazing how often it's used. By the way, it's Friday afternoon. Are you still at the office? Get out of there!

In 2003, Disney and Pixar teamed up to create what would become a classic animated adventure, Finding Nemo. Now, almost 10 years later, they are re-releasing this family favorite in 3D. Finding Nemo is one of four Disney movies the company will be turning into 3D throughout 2012 and 2013. The others include Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and Monsters, Inc. Seems like it will be easier to find Nemo in 3D. The movie is expected to hit theaters September 14th.

With The Lion King (in 3D) recently passing $90 million at the domestic box office, it's no surprise that Disney is anxious to get more of its animated classics in theaters for a 3-D re-release.
Earlier this month, the House of Mouse announced that four more of their most beloved movies of the past twenty-some years would be headed back to theaters, and now they have dates for the re-releases, too. One thing that's certain, there is no time being wasted getting these 3D versions in front of audiences.

What's often forgotten or given little recognition in the wake of his untimely passing on Wednesday is Steve Jobs' influence on the development of computer-animated movies. Before his return to Apple in 1996 and his championing of devices such as the iPod, iPhone, and iMac, Jobs made an astute purchase from moviemaker George Lucas of a struggling graphics company. His drive and commitment to a fledgling project at Pixar eventually realized itself as Toy Story, the first computer-animated feature-length movie ever produced.
Widely regarded as "one of the greatest and most revolutionary films in the history of animation," Toy Story has become the touchstone of the Pixar brand that has gone on to create such award-winning and commercially successful movies as Wall-E, Up, and Finding Nemo. Eventually, Disney bought Pixar in 2006 for $7.6 billion, naming Steve Jobs to the board of directors and leaving him the single largest individual shareholder in the company (7%).

After bringing Simba into the third dimension, Disney is taking four movies out of its back catalog and converting them to 3-D for release next year.
We're not sure where this ranks on the complaints that Hollywood is making too many sequels, prequels or remakes, but the cause is the same: familiarity equates to big box office dollars. Look at The Lion King's two-week, September run at the top of the box office, for example. The conversion cost $10 million, and The Lion King made $29.3 million in its (re)opening weekend alone. Disney likely knew that The Lion King would be successful, but not that successful.

It's not for nothing that Hamm the Piggy Bank is the first toy Andy picks up as he nostalgically looks through his old toy box in the trailer for Toy Story 3. John Ratzenberger, who voices Hamm, has been in every Pixar movie — the only actor who can claim that honor. In fact, the studio considers him its good-luck charm.
So in anticipation of Toy Story's return (one of our must-see movies this summer), we've picked our favorite scenes for each Ratzenberger-Pixar character.

The ReelzChannel 100 began when we asked Leonard Maltin for his favorite Hidden Gems of the decade. His list led the web team into a general discussion about the best movies of the decade and — after no small amount of debate, arguing, and (we're not proud to say) some petty name-calling — we decided we'd better bring it to an end with a company-wide vote. Then it was just a matter of tallying up the votes and hoping for the best. Lucky for us, ReelzChannel is filled with a staff ranging from movie lovers to movie fanatics.
