The hit comedy This Is 40 held its own in theaters despite being released during the extremely competitive December movie season, and the comedy is still going strong. The movie has been available on demand since late March, and it took the number one spot on VOD last week. This is certainly not the first hit for writer/ director/ producer Judd Apatow who has an impressive amount of hit comedies on his filmography, but which movies are Apatow's best? Head over to our list and lock in your vote for the top ten flicks that were written, directed, and/or produced by Judd Apatow.

Judd Apatow's latest directorial effort, This Is 40 is the "sort-of sequel to Knocked Up" and was described as "brutally funny and brutally honest" by movie reviewer Richard Roeper. The movie will be released on DVD and Blu-ray later this week, and we have, as we often do, a copy of the DVD to give away. But this time Reelz is including a little something extra. In addition to This Is 40, we have three more Judd Apatow flicks that we're adding to the prize: Knocked Up, The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Funny People. Enter to win the four-pack and maybe there'll be a comedy-with-heart movie marathon in your future.
Head over to our contest page to enter. We'll be accepting entries from now until March 25th. Good luck!Enter to Win Here >> Posted 03.19.13 by reelz
Ah, the Nerd Fantasy. In case you're not familiar with this genre, it involves a.) a nerd, b.) a fantasy that can be fulfilled only in the movies, almost always involving c.) the nerd scoring some babe way out of his league. The latest offering in this well-populated oeuvre is due out next week (aptly titled She's Out of My League).
Wanting to quantify this phenomenon, ReelzChannel has partnered with noted mathematician Frederick "Huntz" Weinkauf to create the Nerd Fantasy Formula, a complex algorithm taking into account the Nerd's Looks, the Babe's Looks, and the Believability Index. We fed the data into our computers and here's what came out: The Weird Science of Nerd Fantasy Movies. Posted 03.03.10 by reelz
The ReelzChannel 100 began when we asked Leonard Maltin for his favorite Hidden Gems of the decade. His list led the web team into a general discussion about the best movies of the decade and — after no small amount of debate, arguing, and (we're not proud to say) some petty name-calling — we decided we'd better bring it to an end with a company-wide vote. Then it was just a matter of tallying up the votes and hoping for the best. Lucky for us, ReelzChannel is filled with a staff ranging from movie lovers to movie fanatics. What turned out isn't what you'll find on a critic's best of list — instead it's what movie fans really enjoyed.
In day eight of the ReelzChannel 100, we highlight the Top 10 Comedies of the Decade. Posted 12.30.09 by reelz
