Sometimes you've got to get away and go to a place where everybody knows your name. This is true for regular, ordinary people, but it's also true for some of our favorite movie characters. Luckily for those beloved fictional people, there are also plenty of very cool fictional bars to hang out at. We've put together a list of the bars we'd most want to make a regular haunt if we were characters in a movie.
Unfortunately, we lowly normal people can't have a drink any any places on this list because they aren't real. Luckily there are plenty of real-life bars that real-life people can have a drink in, including Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis, South Dakota. Sure it might only be open during bike season, but that just means that all the awesome is condensed into a shorter span of time. Get a chance to spend some time in what is likely the greatest biker bar in the world, without even leaving your couch, when Full Throttle Saloon comes to REELZ starting Friday, October 3rd at 11p ET/ 8p PT.Catch all the Sturgis action

Flanagan's Cocktails and Dreams from Cocktail
What’s more fun than watching flair bartenders? Well, we suppose the answer is "lots of things." But watching Tom Cruise do some flair bartending, and occasionally reciting original poetry — now that's the stuff that recurring dreams are made of. We just hope we don't get eighty-sixed when we mention to Tom that "Kamikaze" does not rhyme with "snazzy."
Truth be told, we can't think of anything we don't like about Bob's. It's an old-time country honky-tonk bar, the service is excellent, the crowd is lively, and they play both kinds of music — country and western. Keep in mind though, if you’re playing another genre, just be sure you have a good, old school Tammy Wynette classic to fall back on.
After a long day at the nuclear power plant, there’s only one place to take it easy and enjoy a nice, cold Duff beer. That is, of course, Moe’s Tavern. Sure the bathroom might not always be in working order, but it's a place that is sure to be full of friendly well wishers — in that they don’t wish you any specific harm.
The Overlook Hotel Bar from The Shining
Even when the Overlook hotel is closed for the season, the bar is open for business. And despite how things might look to an outsider, business is booming — as long as you or your kids have a touch of the shine on ya.
This is another watering hole that has a whole list of things going for it. It's not too far from the shire, it's one of Gandalf's haunts, and the inn features Hobbit-friendly rooms. As far as we're concerned there's nowhere on Middle Earth that is cozier than a Hobbit hole.
Having a delightful Easter Egg for a name isn’t the only thing we love about Club Obi Wan. It also boasts an amazing floor show, an incredibly swanky atmosphere, and a convenient location in central Shanghai. With all of these features, we're willing to ignore the fact that the club's owner is a little sketchy.
Club Obi Wan might have a good floor show, but one thing it doesn’t have is tap dancing Muppets. And really, there's just no way to beat a glamorous, blonde, tap dancing pig. Unfortunately this one loses points because the Dubonnet is really more of a supper club rather than a bar.
The finest crew in Starfleet makes one drinking hole their regular hang out. That is of course Ten Forward, the lounge on board the USS Enterprise. What makes this bar, with admittedly spare decor, so appealing? First, there are Guinan's exotic cocktails. Second, the view is nothing short of spectacular most nights. Also, we'd love to have a chance to rub elbows with some members of the command division, and maybe even get our flirt on. But most of all, we want an opportunity to tell Wesley Crusher to shut up.
Hogsmeade can get pretty overrun with kids, especially when Hogwarts gives kids day passes to go in to town. On those occasions, the Three Broomsticks is sure to be overrun with students, but the Hog’s Head will likely be nice and quiet. In all honesty we have to admit that the Hog's Head's main attraction is its proprietor. After all, who doesn’t want to hang out with Aberforth Dumbledore?
Mos Eisley Cantina from Star Wars
Where better to find a great bar than in a spaceport known not only for it’s wretched scum but also its epic villainy. It can be a little rough, but the Mos Eisley Cantina contains a wide array of (non-droid) characters, a great house band, and a bartender who doesn’t mind too much if you make a bit of a mess — so long as you leave a generous tip.
