There's no doubt that James Bond is one of cinema's most enduring heroes. Without him, the fictional world would have been destroyed several times over. However, it isn't often that we think about the illegality and collateral damage left in the wake of Bond's methods and "license to kill."
Though the super spy franchise has been on the silver screen for more than half a century, it's clear that James Bond is still going strong. The character's latest installment, Skyfall, has earned more than $1 billion in worldwide box office. To celebrate Bond and his 50 years in movies, Reelz is airing sixteen Bond classics throughout February. Before the 007 extravaganza begins, we thought we'd take the time to go over the list of crimes committed by Bond over the course of his long career. Sure, everything Bond does is "for Queen and country," but, apparently, that means turning a blind eye to a lot of sins. The following is an excerpt of Interpol's report on Britain's most dangerous spy.celebrating 50 years of bond

"Just a drink. A martini, shaken, not stirred."
This is a big year for James Bond. Ian Fleming's iconic British spy celebrated 50 years as a motion picture hero on Oct. 5th, the golden anniversary of the debut of Dr. No in theaters, and the 23rd James Bond movie, Skyfall, will premiere in just one week in the U.K. (we Yanks have to wait until Nov. 9th). If you're a movie buff, chances are you've seen your fair share of James Bond movies over the years and you likely have your preference of Bond actors, whether Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, or the latest, Daniel Craig. But, just as 007 is superior to the other 00s in the service of Her Majesty, not all James Bond movies are created equal. Put on your tux, down a martini and help us sort through 50 years of James Bond movies to select the best of the best.

Everything old is new again
Reboot. To many self-styled movie aficionados, the word has come to represent everything they perceive to be wrong with Hollywood. They complain that the increasing number of reboots — six already this year, with many, many more on the way — is a sign that movie studios have simply run out of ideas. But, though the word describing them may be relatively new, Hollywood has been rebooting franchises for a very long time. Sherlock Holmes, Superman, Tarzan, James Bond, Batman — the longevity of these characters as cinematic icons has depended upon periodic reinventions to keep them fresh (we're still waiting for Tarzan's). Obviously, some reboots are better than others, which is why we want you to help us rate the Top 10 Best Movie Reboots.
