Screen Junkies has found great success online with their "Honest Trailers" series, with a recent trailer parodying the sing-songy aspects of Les Misérables. With Steven Spielberg's 1993 monster movie, Jurassic Park, re-opening in 3-D this weekend, the timing is perfect for an "Honest Trailer," so sit back and remember the outdated technology, re-witness "The Goldblum" and ponder the questionable grand-parenting skills of Richard Attenborough's Dr. John Hammond as you revel in all the ways that Jurassic Park has remained such a timeless classic. watch the trailer >> Posted 04.04.13 by Ryan
If a perfect movie for you would be a blend of Star Wars and Jurassic Park, then the mash-up trailer created by Slacktory is just the thing for you. The trailer uses music and audio taken from a Jurassic Park trailer, but uses footage mostly taken from Return of the Jedi, showing Luke (Mark Hamill), Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Han (Harrison Ford) discovering the wonders (and dangers) of JurAt-AT Park, named after the AT-ATs (All Terrain Armored Transport) used by the Empire that first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back. watch the video >> Posted 03.27.13 by Ryan
We love movies and we especially love movies with great ensemble casts. There's nothing better than seeing our favorite actors and actresses sharing screen time with one another, feeding off of each others' performances and upping each others' game. With a decent script and the right director, a great ensemble cast can create cinematic gold.
It's because of our love for movies with great ensemble casts that we are eagerly anticipating writer-director Martin McDonagh's (In Bruges) new black comedy, Seven Psychopaths. The plot is a bit out there, but with a cast that includes Colin Farrell, Christopher Walken, Sam Rockwell and Woody Harrelson, we're sure to be treated to some combustible onscreen chemistry. Seven Psychopaths doesn't come out until next week, so help us pass the time until its release by rating the Top 10 Great Ensembles in Good Movies.

"If The Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists."
A tremor rippling inside a glass of water. Amphibian DNA. Velociraptors. John Williams' unforgettable score. These are but a few of the indelible memories put inside audiences' minds from director Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park, the first part of tonight's Jurassic Park double feature.
Jurassic Park wasn't the first movie ever made about dinosaurs, but prior to 1993, they had never felt so real before. While Dr. Ian Malcolm's (Jeff Goldblum) prophetic comments about the dangers of the park predictably turn out to be true, the novelty of escaping from a Tyrannosaurus Rex or a duo of Velociraptors thrilled audiences and ensured that two more installments followed.
Jurassic Park III closes out the double feature, and sees Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) head back to the original island's Site B, Isla Sorna, to rescue his biggest fan (Trevor Morgan). Co-starring William H. Macy and Tea Leoni, and introducing the flying Pteranodon, Jurassic Park III stands as the final chapter of the franchise — until the fourth ulitmately gets made. jurassic park 1 & 3

Fans of the Jurassic Park franchise get ready — a fourth installment may finally be happening.
Almost a year ago at the 2011 Comic-Con, director Steven Spielberg teased that Jurassic Park IV could be made "in the next two or three years," and it looks like he may keep to that promise. Deadline reports that Rise of the Planet of the Apes screenwriters and co-producers Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa have been hired to write the long-gestating sequel. Spielberg is expected to produce, but not to direct, much like he did on Jurassic Park III.
This isn't the first time Jurassic Park IV seemed to be finally in the works. Spielberg reportedly met with screenwriter Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend, Thor) last June to discuss story ideas, but whether that meeting ever led to a story that Jaffa and Silver will now write is unknown. Last December, Jurassic Park producer Kathleen Kennedy commented that a "great script is what it’s gonna take" to make a fourth Jurassic Park movie, and, hopefully, Jaffa and Silver are up for the challenge of reviving yet another movie franchise. Rise earned $481 million worldwide and a sequel, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, is already scheduled to open in 2014. Posted 06.22.12 by Ryan
Those dinosaurs from Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park are back from extinction. Universal announced that it will re-release Jurassic Park in 3-D on July 19, 2013.
The studio also announced it was also changing the release date for Tom Cruise's Oblivion.
Of course, Jurassic Park is just the latest blockbuster Hollywood is blowing the dust off to convert into 3-D and re-release. As Moviefone points out, the movie grossed $914.6M worldwide and with the re-release could become Spielberg's first billion dollar movie. Last year, Spielberg talked about adding the third dimension to his dinosaur thriller.
The only movie that I would ever even consider retrofitting is the first Jurassic Park, which I think would look pretty spectacular in 3D. That's the only one of my films that I would consider doing in 3D.
So I guess we're not seeing E.T. or Schindler's List in 3-D. more about Oblivion's date change >> Posted 03.16.12 by Chris
Steven Spielberg was at the 2011 Comic-Con to promote his upcoming The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, but zealous fans couldn't help but ask about the long-gestating sequel, Jurassic Park IV. Luckily, Spielberg actually had a brief update, ComingSoon reports.

We have a story, I can happily announce right now. We have a writer... Hopefully, we'll be making Jurassic Park 4 in the near future. In the next two or three years.
It's a long-gestating sequel, with Jurassic Park III hitting theaters 10 years ago. Last January, Captain America: The First Avenger and Jurassic Park III director Joe Johnston revealed "there's going to be a Jurassic Park IV", and that it would spark another trilogy of Jurassic Park movies. While no confirmation of that has occurred, it does seem that Steven Spielberg is interested in returning to the prehistoric amusement park. could it happen? >> Posted 06.17.11 by Ryan
