"You're playing both sides."
Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones almost worked together on 1998's The Mask of Zorro, the move that turned into Zeta-Jones' breakout movie. However, Connery dropped out of his role, the one that eventually went to Anthony Hopkins, so the two would instead work together afterwards on 1999's Entrapment, with Connery playing a thief and Zeta-Jones as an insurance investigator who poses a thief in order to, you guessed it, entrap Connery on the theft of a Rembrandt painting.
Of course, Entrapment has more twists and turns in store, and we're not just talking about the infamous laser alarm sequence, there's also a budding romance between the two characters — despite a size-able age difference of about 40 years. "Any fears I might have had disappeared the moment I met Sean," Zeta-Jones told McCall in 1999. "There was immediate chemistry and attraction between us. I figured if it worked for us in reality, it would also work in front of the camera."
