The fifth movie in the Eon Productions James Bond series, tonight's feature finds the debonair British secret agent with a license to kill on a mission to prevent World Ward III. When both a U.S. and a Soviet spacecraft go missing in orbit, MI6 dispatches 007 (Sean Connery) to discover whether the Cold War is really heating up or if someone is attempting to instigate conflict between the two nations. The trail leads Bond to Japan, to the secret island fortress of the global terrorist organization SPECTRE and its maniacal leader Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Donald Pleasence).
