Just in time for Valentine's Day, we bring you the one James Bond movie where 007 finally finds his true love: On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. The sixth movie in the Eon Productions series and the only one to star an actor from outside of the British Isles in Australian George Lazenby, tonight's feature finds Bond once again at odds with the head of the global terrorist organization SPECTRE, Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Telly Savalas), who plans to sterilize the world's food supplies unless his demands are met. Along the way, Bond falls for the daughter (Diana Rigg) of an international crime boss and he is forced to choose between his loyalty to MI6 and his new lady love.

On Her Majesty’s Secret Service is the only Bond movie where James really finds true love. So even though the love story doesn’t have the happiest ending, it’s the perfect Bond for Valentine’s, and luckily, Reelz is airing it on February 14th as part of our month of Bond movies. And since James had some profound success at romancing the ladies, it only makes sense to take some cues from the British agent to add some romance to your Valentine’s plans.

This is a big year for James Bond. Ian Fleming's iconic British spy celebrated 50 years as a motion picture hero on Oct. 5th, the golden anniversary of the debut of Dr. No in theaters, and the 23rd James Bond movie, Skyfall, will premiere in just one week in the U.K. (we Yanks have to wait until Nov. 9th). If you're a movie buff, chances are you've seen your fair share of James Bond movies over the years and you likely have your preference of Bond actors, whether Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, or the latest, Daniel Craig. But, just as 007 is superior to the other 00s in the service of Her Majesty, not all James Bond movies are created equal. Since Sean Connery first uttered the catchphrase "Bond... James Bond" in 1962's Dr. No, there have been six actors hired to play Britain's most notorious spy, who is celebrating his golden anniversary. Yesterday marked 50 years of Bond since Dr. No first entered theaters, and the secret agent is doing better than ever. A new Blu-Ray boxed set of the 22 James Bond films was recently released, and the documentary Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007 debuted yesterday on EPIX, both of which help set the stage for the upcoming Skyfall, Bond's 23rd adventure and current Bon Daniel Craig's third movie as the character.
Only one actor has the distinction of playing James Bond for a single movie and that's George Lazenby. Back in 1967, Connery had retired as Bond, leaving producers Albert Broccoli and Harry Saltzman and director Peter R. Hunt to search for another actor. Enter the Australian newcomer who, in a clip from Everything or Nothing, revealed that he told lie after lie all the way into the role of James Bond.
