Just last week, Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer said that he would be interested in making Zombieland 2 in 3-D, and already that appears to be happening. Producer Gavin Polone told Variety that, while 3-D is not right for every movie, he feels that it will serve to enhance the moviegoer's experience of the planed sequel to Zombieland.
Everyone had fun watching Zombieland; making it a more visceral experience can only make it better. I don't think you want to see Ordinary People in 3-D. But Zombieland is clearly one movie that will benefit from [the technique].
The script for the Zombieland sequel is currently being written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg have been approached to reprise their roles, but nothing is set in stone yet.
In other 3-D news, Variety also reports that Paramount and MTV Films' third installment in the Jackass series is being shot using an unspecified 3-D technology, with director Jeff Tremaine already conducting camera tests. Tremaine, Johnny Knoxville, and Spike Jonze will be producing the movie. Posted 12.02.09 by BrentJS
