In honor of the season two finale of True Justice tonight on Reelz and the show's titular badass, Elijah Kane (played by Steven Seagal), team Reelz put our noggins together to come up with a list of the most badass canes in movie history. These aren't the fancy sticks of affected gentlemen, these are the skull crackin', shin trippin', Russian spy dispatchin', and side splittin' hard wood of the serious auteur. If a perfect movie for you would be a blend of Star Wars and Jurassic Park, then the mash-up trailer created by Slacktory is just the thing for you. The trailer uses music and audio taken from a Jurassic Park trailer, but uses footage mostly taken from Return of the Jedi, showing Luke (Mark Hamill), Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Han (Harrison Ford) discovering the wonders (and dangers) of JurAt-AT Park, named after the AT-ATs (All Terrain Armored Transport) used by the Empire that first appeared in The Empire Strikes Back.

Unless you've been in a coma, you've no doubt heard that George Lucas sold his Lucasfilm Ltd. production company to the Walt Disney Company, who plan to make another trilogy of Star Wars (no doubt you read our 10 things to expect about the new trilogy). Toy Story 3 and Little Miss Sunshine screenwriter Michael Arndt has already been hired to draft the screenplay for Episode 7, which, if the conventional online wisdom is true, will see the further adventures of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Han Solo (Harrison Ford) as well as their progeny and whatever new characters are added to the franchise. Ford is rumored to be "open" to the idea of returning to the role of Solo, but, if Solo is to come back, he may be in even more trouble than he was when Luke first meets him.

It's only been a little over a week since George Lucas handed over the keys to his Star Wars franchise to Disney and already potential director names are being floated around the web. X-Men: First Class and Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn is rumored to be up for the sequel, while other reports claim that Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) could get the job since Lucas has already spoken to the director about it several months ago, and, even though the decision will not be made by Lucas, Star Wars mania dictates that any director that has met with Lucas in the next or past year is a potential candidate.
However, if certain extreme fans get their way, The Incredibles and Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol director Brad Bird should get the job. While the nation has already made their choice in the Presidential election, a new, fan-made video has arrived that makes a case for the next important race: getting Bird into the director's chair for 2015's Star Wars: Episode VII. They make a convincing argument.

Last week, Disney and moviemaker George Lucas announced that the company had purchased Lucas' profitable LucasFilm Ltd. production company for $4.05 billion, While that affords Lucas a modest retirement from making movies (actually, he plans to donate most of the money to educational charities), Lucas also revealed that he had decided to hand over his Star Wars franchise to "a new generation of filmmakers," collectively blowing the minds of millions of Star Wars fans everywhere.
While creating Star Wars has given Lucas unparalleled respect amongst writers, directors, animators and movie audiences alike, it's been Lucas' "recreations" of those same movies, as well as work creating the prequel trilogy (that's Episodes I-III for you kids that watched them sequentially), that has made him the target of those same peoples' derision. Now that Disney holds the keys to Lucas' magic kingdom, we offer 10 things to expect from the new Star Wars trilogy.

Harrison Ford has played many characters in his long career, but probably his two most iconic roles are the scruffy smuggler Han Solo and the archeology professor Indiana Jones. With the complete Indiana Jones series released on Blu-ray this week, we thought we’d find out what would happen if the two characters went toe-to-toe in a cage match.

George Lucas has done it again. With yet another release of Star Wars — this time The Complete Saga (Episodes I-VI) on Blu-ray — Lucas has made more annoying tweaks to his masterpieces, further outraging fans.
His alternations include adding a line in a crucial scene in Return of the Jedi: When the Emperor is electrocuting Luke on the Death Star, Darth Vader now screams "Noooooo!" just before he throws the Emperor down a shaft. Lucas has also altered Obi-Wan Kenobi's introduction in New Hope and made the Ewoks blink in Return of the Jedi.
We, like the rest of the legion of Star Wars fans, have left dent marks on our desks, pleading, "Why, George, why?" Hoping to avoid future concussions, we came up with this list.

The entire Star Wars saga is released on Blu-ray on September 16, and in case light-saber-weilding fans seemed hesitant to buy the series on yet another format, Lucasfilms is making it clear that there is some cool new stuff in the set. So far, we know about audio commentary from the cast and crew, a documentary about the making of The Empire Strikes Back, as well as an alternate opening to Return of the Jedi that features some of Luke Skywalker's time on Tatooine before he goes to Jabba's lair.
Now, Entertainment Weekly has gotten a hold of a deleted scene from The Empire Strikes Back that gives a longer look at the scruffy nerf-herder Han (Harrison Ford) and the one-person-committee Leia (Carrie Fisher) having a sexual-tension-filled argument in the rebel base on the ice planet Hoth. From this clip, it's surprising that the entire planet didn't melt as a result of all the energy between the scoundrel and the princess. Sadly we couldn't embed it, but it's still worth checking out. You'll love it; we know.

After a long illness, director Irving Kershner has died at his home at the age of 87, his goddaughter Adriana Santini informed AFP. Born in Philadelphia in 1923, Kershner started his career making documentaries before embarking on his directorial debut with 1958's Stakeout on Dope Street for producer Roger Corman. Kershner went on to direct 1966's A Fine Madness with actor Sean Connery and the 1990 sequel Robocop 2, but he is best known for directing 1980's Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back for writer-producer George Lucas. Lucas took notice of Kershner after he directed the 1978 thriller The Eyes of Laura Mars, which was written by horror director John Carpenter.

If Robert Rodriguez's Machete is even half as good as the trailer, the pic will certainly be the best movie featuring the knife named in the title. Meanwhile, the title character's knife-adorned wardrobe — and the clip of Danny Trejo swinging a bladed morning star and bungee jumping with entrails — begged the question: What are the most memorable movie scenes where a knife plays a leading role?
