The critically maligned CG-animated spinoff Star Wars: The Clone Wars leads this week's crop of new DVD releases. Also debuting on DVD today: Japanese horror legend Takashi Miike's Sukiyaki Western Django, featuring a cameo from Quentin Tarantino; the romantic comedy The Perfect Holiday, starring Gabrielle Union, Morris Chestnut, and Queen Latifah; and country singer Toby Keith's little-seen comedy Beer for My Horses.
Our DVD pick of the week is Hellboy II: The Golden Army. Pick up the Blu-ray version and experience Guillermo del Toro's supernatural action-comedy epic as it was meant to be seen: in sparkling hi-def. Check out the bonus featurette Hellboy: In Service of the Demon for a behind-the-scenes look at how del Toro and his crew created the multitude of monsters that inhabit Hellboy's strange universe.
