New DVD Releases: Speed Racer, The Love Guru, and More

Two of this summer's biggest box-office flops, theWachowski Brothers' trippy update of Speed Racer and MikeMyers' disastrously ill-advised comedy The Love Guru,headline this week's DVD Tuesday. Also debuting today: the romantic comedy Madeof Honor, featuring a Michelle Monaghan and a kilt-wearing Dr.McDreamy; Young@Heart, the acclaimed documentary about agroup of senior citizens who sing cotemporary rock songs; and Special Editionre-releases of Risky Business, Weird Science,and Beetlejuice.

Our DVD pick for the week is 88 Minutes,starring Al Pacino as a blustery forensic psychiatrist haunted by one of thekillers he put away. Check out its alternate ending and see if it improves onthe (somewhat lame) original.

LA Times: Documentaries Now Even Less Appealing to Moviegoers Than Before

Bigger, Stronger, Faster and Young@Heart both got good critic reviews, but movie fans yawned as they filed in to see The Incredible Hulk.
