Posted 02.24.12 by Katie On-screen couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart of the ever-popular vampire saga Twilight have been notoriously quiet about their off-screen relationship. The two keep a very low profile — so low, in fact, that no one's really clear about when their relationship began. (It's been rumored the pair has been together since the filming of the first movie.)
They usually avoid any PDA, so Bella and Edward fans should enjoy this admittedly blurry peek at some off-screen intimacy. In a candid, non-paparazzi photo from last week, you can see the normally timid Stewart with her arms wrapped around Pattinson's neck.

Posted 02.24.12 by Katie The newest popular book-series-turned-movie, The Hunger Games, is often compared to it's predecessor, the Twilight saga; however, it just surpassed the vampire flick in early ticket sales. Twilight's third movie, Eclipse, broke first-day record sales back on May 14, 2010 but now Games has "already sold out hundreds of showtimes in advance of the film's March 23 release date," according to Fandango.

Posted 02.22.12 by Mandy The town of Forks, Washington is planning a big birthday party for Twilight's Bella Swan, and one resident is hoping some of the party decorations become a permanent feature in the town.
The Forks Forum reported last week that community member Rosemary Colendrea, who is helping to plan Bella's birthday event, is hoping to launch a museum dedicated to Stephenie Meyer's series. So far, the town owns an arch used in 2008's Twilight, and is hoping to buy a private collection of Twilight props later this year. The items will be on display for the three-day Stephenie Meyer's Day event, which will also feature a nighttime reenactment of Bella and Edward's wedding. No word if Alice Cullen will be available to decorate for the event. While these items will be lovely to showcase at a short festival, a rather more extensive collection of items will probably be necessary if a museum is to be built.
Colendrea is also hopeful that a Twilight television series could be filmed in the town. While a TV spin-off of the series is a fantastic idea, our favorite concept for a Twilight television series would have to be set in Seattle, since it would take place at the office of J. Jenks.

Posted 01.27.12 by Mandy The "big game" is on its way. Far more exciting, the Super Bowl commercials are starting to hit the web. While it seems unlikely that anything will be more exciting than the Ferris Bueller commercial that's been teased, there's a new Twilight-inspired commercial that is pretty hilarious.
There's no direct association to the book and movie franchise, other than vampires with crazy contacts that can run really quickly up trees. And that where they're hanging out looks a lot like Edward and Bella's neighborhood. At first it seems strange that Audi would make a commercial that's reminiscent of a franchise that plugs Volvo... and then it all makes sense.

Posted 01.18.12 by Mandy Twilight author Stephenie Meyer has been decidedly coy about the possible continuation of the extremely popular series. While she has stated that Breaking Dawn was the last chapter of Bella and Edward's story, she's left the possibility of continuing other characters' stories wide open.
The continuation of the series was brought up again after Lions Gate acquired Summit Entertainment, the studio that made all five Twilight movies. The L.A. Times reported on Friday that when asked if the series could be continued, Jon Felthmier, the CEO of Lions Gate, replied "Boy I hope so."
It sounds like Meyer's supernatural world is bound to live on in some form or another. Considering all the new characters introduced in the second part of the Breaking Dawn alone, there are plenty of story lines to choose from. There are some obvious candidates that the story could follow (the Cullens, the Uley Wolf Pack), but some less obvious choices seem a little more interesting to explore. Here is a list of a few characters we'd like to know more about.

Posted 11.01.11 by Mandy Today is the first Tuesday in November which means it's the start of Twilight Tuesdays. Tonight, Twilight will be in theaters nationwide at 7:30 local time, and fans are promised that it will include all-new exclusive content. No word on whether that new content will all be from Breaking Dawn Part 1 or if it will also include never-before-seen footage or interviews from the first movie in the series. We'll have to wait until tonight to find out.
In order to promote the first of the Tuesday night Twilight Saga screenings, Summit has released a new video on You Tube that does indeed contain some all-new content. It starts off as a trailer for the first three movies, but then morphs into behind-the-scenes footage for Breaking Dawn and interviews with the cast and crew about the upcoming movie. Of course the clip includes interviews with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, but it also features commentary from director Bill Condon as well as Twilight author Stephenie Meyer.

Posted 10.11.11 by Mandy We told you last week about Fathom Events hosting all three of the previous Twilight movies on the Tuesdays in November, leading up to the release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. To get fans even more pumped about seeing the movie again on the big screen, they've put together a trailer for Twilight Tuesdays. While it's disappointing that the trailers to contain any of the "new" footage that is promised for the re-releases, it's never a bad thing to see the most memorable images from the Twilight series again.
Along with this (sort-of) new trailer, the French poster for Breaking Dawn Part 1 has also recently been released and we're still not sure why the French titles (Fascination, Tentation, Hésitation and Révélation) of Stephenie Meyer's series aren't even sort-of literal translations of the English titles. Far more upsetting though, is that the French get to watch Breaking Dawn two days before we get to see it in the US. Perhaps it's worth going on a sight-seeing/movie-watching trip to Paris the third week of November?

In anticipation of the The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 opening November 18, the three previous Twilight movies are being re-released in theaters before the main event, says MTV news. The original Twilight will be in theaters November 1, with New Moon following on November 8. Eclipse will be in theaters on the 15th, giving fans a day to rest up before standing in line to catch midnight screenings of Breaking Dawn. Each re-release screening will be at 7:30 local time, and will include cast interviews and introductions, as well as behind-the-scenes footage. Posted 09.08.11 by Mandy The Twilight franchise has been very lucrative for Summit Entertainment and the studio is not shy about using litigation to protect its investment. According to THR, Summit has filed suit against Tom Markson owner of Twilight.com, alleging that the site deceives consumers into believing that it is the official website authorized by the studio. Seeing as the site consists of the words "Welcome to Twilight.com" in black letters on a white background and some links to Amazon.com to buy the books, movies, and soundtracks for both The Twilight Saga and The Twilight Zone, it seems highly unlikely that any person capable of using a computer to access the internet would confuse the site with one that was authorized by either Summit Entertainment or Twilight author Stephenie Meyer. The website was first registered in 1994, eleven years before Meyer's book was released.
Summit has previously gone to court with Bath & Body Works due to their "Twilight Woods" line of products, and has sued B.B. Dakota for advertising that Bella wore their jacket. The blue canvas jacket worn by Kristen Stewart in Twilight was made by B.B. Dakota and purchased at Nordstrom Rack.
