After telling us earlier in the week that Miley Cyrus had canceled her concerts because on H1N1 (Swine) flu, we asked Cody Linley again about it last night at the premiere of his latest movie, Forget Me Not. Here's what he had to say. (You can see the full interview below.)
Well, Miley, when I talked to her about a week ago, she had the swine flu. But she's doing all right now. She's better. She's healthy. And I know she had some shows to do so ... she's all cleared up. But, hey, there are a lot of people who were affected by it. And it's a serious illness that you could catch. And I would have never expected one of my closest friends, Miley, to come down with it.
After hearing the news this morning, Cyrus called in to the Billy Bush Radio Show to say that she did not have Swine flu.
Freaking Cody Linley was on the carpet last night and I think that he just like said stuff, so no. I had like really really bad strep, and I was really really sick, but no.... I'm gonna give him a talking to!
So did she or didn't she have H1N1? It seems unlikely Linley would lie. But then again, aside from worrying about concert sales, wouldn't Miley's people be all over the CDC ambassadorship possibilities?

While talking with Hollywood Dailies about his new movie Forget Me Not, Cody Linley had some surprising news about his good friend and former Hannah Montana co-star Miley Cyrus:
I spoke with her the day that she canceled the tour.... She said she felt really bad, she didn't understand what was happening, but she just got really sick and had to run off stage because things were just like on her heart, too heavy.... Then the next day she told me she had the Swine Flu.
So far, we've been unable to confirm the news with Cyrus' publicist (who also is Linley's publicist).
UPDATE: Last night on the red carpet, Linley confirmed the news that Miley Cyrus cancelled her concerts because of the Swine Flu. We'll have the video clip here shortly.

Oh Miley. First your racy Vanity Fair Leibovitz shoot. Then those pictures of you in your undies. And now this.
Miley Cyrus has been accused of "taunting" and "mocking" people of Asian descent for striking a slant-eye pose in a snapshot. A picture of the 16-year-old uber star show Cyrus and her friends, one of them Asian, pulling their eyes sideways for that un-PC look.
The OCA, a national organization dedicated to the advancement of Asian Pacific Americans, has publicly criticized the photo-plagued teen. George Wu, OCA executive director, says the tween hasn't just mocked people of Asian descent, "she has also insulted her many Asian Pacific American fans."
When, oh when will Miley learn? Probably around the same time that Michael Phelps learns not to be photographed taking bong hits or going to strip clubs.
