Posted 12.06.11 by Ryan While the movies may not be everyone's cup of Rohypnol, there's no denying the success of The Hangover and its sequel, The Hangover Part II, which out-earned its predecessor at $581 million worldwide. Unsurprisingly, Warner Bros. is interested in a third installment, hiring screenwriter Craig Mazin in June to write the script. Mazin co-wrote The Hangover Part II with Scot Armstrong and director Todd Phillips.
Prior to Mazin's hiring, Phillips admitted that a third Hangover "would very much be a finale and an ending," prompting many to wonder where the third movie will take place. After spending time in both Las Vegas and Bangkok, Hangover actors Jamie Chung (Lauren, Ed Helms' fiancée in The Hangover Part II) and Justin Bartha (Doug) separately suggested Amsterdam, as a possible location. While appearing on The Graham Norton Show, Bradley Cooper said production could begin next year on the sequel and offered a contrasting location for the Wolfpack to reunite.
