2009 Movies with 85+ Ratings from the BFCA

The first major awards show of the season is just weeks away. On Friday, January 15, the 15th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards will be broadcast live on VH1 at 9:00 PM ET/PT. This week the nominees were announced.

If Harry Potter is not your kinda guy, then perhaps check out (500) Days of Summer, the new romantic comedy starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel. It's one of the better-reviewed movies of the year and certainly the best-reviewed romantic comedy, like, since, Annie Hall. It's opening on only 27 screens (vs. 4,325 for Potter 6), but see if it's playing near you.
