A movie executive (Billy Bob Thornton), a rock star and others live hedonistic, self-absorbed lives as they drift through 1980s Los Angeles without a moral compass.
Mickey Rourke isn't the only comeback kid in the upcoming adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis's The Informers. The movie also features Kim Basinger and Billy Bob Thorton, neither in need of a full Rourke-style comeback but definitely recently overshadowed by their respective ex-spouses.
In this short clip, unhappily married couple Basinger and Thorton have a passive-aggressive convo about going to uber-restuarant Spago, as, we suppose one did in 1980s Los Angeles. It reminds us a bit of all the hilarious 80s yuppie restaurant talk in American Psycho. We can only hope this new Bret Easton Ellis picture approachesa similar level of greatness.
