Bruce Willis is starting to make a career out of playing mercenaries. After playing a former black ops agent in the comic book adaptation of Red, Willis will play a framed mercenary in the video game adaptation of Kane & Lunch starting in August. He will play Kane, who is busted out of jail and given 72 hours to find a doomsday device or his wife and child will be murdered.
Jamie Foxx will join Willis, according to Deadline New York, as Kane's violent and schizophrenic partner Lynch. The plot follows the game's story pretty closely with the exception of Kane being "framed" and there being any kind of "doomsday device."
Foxx's casting was initially revealed by screenwriter Kyle Ward, who announced the casting in his Twitter page (the post has since been removed, which means that Lionsgate and Millenium Films are not ready to make the casting official). Stunt coordinator and Mr. & Mrs. Smith assistant director Simon Crane will direct. Posted 03.21.10 by Ryan
