German director Daniel Stamm made quite the impression with his American debut, The Last Exorcism, which has already made close to $39 million at the box office. THR reports that Stamm's next job will be directing the second installment in M. Night Shyamalan's "The Night Chronicles." For this series, Shyamalan supplies an idea for a writer and director to turn into a movie, leaving him free to create classics such as The Last Airbender.
Devil, which opens this week, is the first "Night Chronicle." Stamm will make Reincarnate, which follows jury members on the case of an accused murderer who are "haunted by supernatural forces that hold the keys to the case." Chris Sparling (Buried) and Paul Grellong (Law & Order: SVU) are writing the script. Reincarnate, set to go into production in 2011, will abandon the subjective camera technique Stamm used in Last Exorcism. Posted 09.16.10 by Ryan
