The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is about to be released on Blu-ray and DVD — what a great excuse to have a big, Twilight-themed party. A movie night is no fun without some delicious food to enjoy, so we've put together two Breaking Dawn–themed menus that are hopefully a little more interesting than what Bella cooks for Charlie on an average weeknight.

Just because the Twilight franchise is done, doesn't mean we are done with the Twilight franchise.
Since the first Twilight movie was released in 2008, the Twilight phenomenon has swept the globe, with the franchise's final installment, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, earning $784 million in worldwide box office. Many Twilight fans have openly admitted that the movies and books have become a full-blown obsession, even an addiction, at times coming at a cost of other relationships in their lives.
So why has Twilight struck such a chord with so many? New York psychologist Dr. Niloo Dardashti believes she has the answer, but will only reveal it in her documentary Into the Twilight Haze, as detailed in the doc's press release. After all, psychologists don't offer all their advice for free.

It's that one day of the year where we all get to skip work to gather with our friends and family members and simply reflect on the things in our lives that we have to be thankful for...and then watch NFL football and consume massive quantities of "harvest" food. Movie heroines are at an all-time high these days, with several of the year's most successful movies featuring female characters as the central role. For instance, Pixar's Brave, the first movie for the animation studio to feature a lead female character, is currently the fifth highest-grossing movie of the year, following The Hunger Games, which is currently the third. Snow White and the Huntsman is 11th, with Snow White actress Kristen Stewart likely eclipsing that when The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 arrives in theaters this weekend.
No doubt the increase in movie heroines is anchored by the success of the Twilight franchise, with The Hunger Games cementing the trend. As franchises go, both are amongst the 100 top-grossing movies of all time, despite The Hunger Games being only one installment in. Box office receipts aside, with Breaking Dawn Part 2 closing out the franchise this weekend, we thought the time was right to compare the two movie heroines — Twilight's Bella Cullen née Swan (Stewart) and The Hunger Games' Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and see which would come out on top of our Character Cage Match.

The Twilight franchise is coming to an end this week with the release of Breaking Dawn - Part 2, and the time is ripe for a new vampire series to work its way on to the scene. Stephenie Meyer’s series, as well as several other recent vampire franchises, ignore some of the more complex old-school vampire rules, but we kind of like those Bram Stoker laws of the undead. So for all you aspiring writers out there who want to create the next big thing, here's what we'd like to see in future vampire series.
