It's been four months since the first trailer for writer-director Darren Lynn Bousman's (Saw II, III & IV) latest horror thriller, 11-11-11, offered up a little bit of the plot of the movie to go with the creepy imagery seen in the previous two teaser trailers. Last week, we got another piece of the plot puzzle when a new teaser promised we will all be "f*cked" when a gateway opens on 11-11-11. Now, a new theatrical trailer has been released that not only offers a clearer explanation of the significance of the date, but shows us some of the unholy creatures that will supposedly be loosed on us unsuspecting mortals when the gateway opens.

A new teaser trailer for writer-director Darren Lynn Bousman's (Saw II, III & IV) latest horror thriller, 11-11-11, is now online. Partially based on the ideas expressed by adherents of the 11/11 Movement — which believes that the number "11" has cosmic significance — the movie's premise is that a portal to another dimension will open on November 11, 2011, releasing a demonic entity or entities into our dimension.
Unlike most trailers, which simply tease the plot of the movie and offer a preview of some of the thrills in store for moviegoers, this new trailer claims that we are all "f*cked" when the movie's release date rolls around. Apparently, the geniuses who came up with this marketing strategy figure that, as long as we are all "f*cked" anyway, we might as well take in a movie before we go.

Up until now Darren Bousman's upcoming horror 11-11-11 only had the opportunity to freak you out with some scary imagery in two short previous teaser trailers but the just-released theatrical trailer tells you the story behind why the number 11 is scary.
The story follows author Joseph Crone (Timothy Gibbs) as he travels from the U.S. to Spain to reunite with his estranged brother (Michael Landes) and dying father (Denis Rafter) following the death of his wife and child. When Joseph begins to see the number 11 repeated all around him, he begins to investigate and soon discovers that the number portends the arrival of an entity from another dimension. Wendy Glenn, Lluis Soler, and Brendan Price also star.

A synopsis and teaser poster for writer-director Darren Bousman's (Saw II, III & IV) new horror thriller, 11-11-11, were released in December, and several pieces of concept art from the movie were leaked online last month, but until now we had no idea what the movie would look like or even who would be in it. Epic Pictures Group is shopping around Bousman's thriller at the currently ongoing European Film Market and part of the sales pitch includes still images and a partial cast list, which DreadCentral has nabbed and posted online. Additionally, the first trailer for the movie has finally been released and it is intense.

Other than the synopsis and release date of writer-director Darren Bousman's (Saw II, III & IV) new horror thriller, 11-11-11, virtually nothing is known about the movie, despite the fact that it is supposedly going into production this week in Barcelona.
Not even a cast list has been announced as of yet (IMDB lists Todd Bridges as the only "rumored" cast member). However, the folks at Twitch somehow got their hands on several pieces of creepy concept art that at least gives us some sort of indication of the moody atmosphere that Bousman plans for the movie.

For most people, the date "11/11" holds little more significance than any other date on the calendar, but for the adherents of the 11/11 Movement, it is a "cosmic number" with profound implications. Well, now the date has signficance for horror movie fans, as well, because it is the date in 2011 when writer-director Darren Bousman's (Saw II, III & IV) new horror thriller, 11-11-11, will debut. Last month, a series of four teaser posters for the movie were released online that hinted that "something's coming through" a "gateway" to our world on November 11, 2011, and now the official movie synopsis has also been released.
