Tenants living in Montreal's Notre Dame de Grace try to figure out who might be a serial killer.
The "creepy neighbor" sub-genre got a real shot in the arm from Alfred Hitchcock's 1954 thriller Rear Window, and has been used as a template for movies about tenants who suspect someone who lives in the building could be up to no good.
Canadian thriller Good Neighbors is about two tenants (Scott Speedman, Emily Hampshire) living in a apartment building in Montreal's Notre-Dame-de-Grâce neighborhood who are obsessed with the activities of a local serial killer. While no one is staring at other tenants with binoculars, Speedman is in a wheelchair a la James Stewart. Or is he? The point of the recently released trailer is that anyone, or, in this case, everyone is a suspect.
