The day has finally arrived for the thriller Killer Elite to open in theaters, but just in case you're not convinced you want to watch Jason Statham rescue Robert De Niro from assassins led by Clive Owen, a new red band trailer has just been released to help convince you to see it.
Killer Elite has been on a promotional kick this past month, releasing a preview clip of De Niro in bad ass mode earlier this week and two other preview clips earlier this month. Still, none of them have answered the question burning in the minds of anyone that has seen the movie's many trailers and TV spots: What's up with Owen's mustache?
The actor was finally asked to defend his facial hair by MTV in a recent interview.

So far, the promotional campaign for the upcoming thriller Killer Elite has released several preview clips, most of which showed a poorly mustachioed Clive Owen chasing Jason Statham either in a car or across a rooftop. Another clip saw Statham fight side-by-side with Robert De Niro, who also appears in the movie, but this most recent clip sees De Niro fight solo.

The upcoming thriller Killer Elite has had several new clips released of late, but none of them have featured Robert De Niro. The movie stars Jason Statham as an ex-special ops agent who comes out of retirement to rescue his mentor (De Niro), but most of the clips have shown Statham trying to escape from Clive Owen, who leads a group of assassins in the movie.
The latest preview clip shows Statham rescue De Niro from his incarceration, a situation that was last covered in the movie's second trailer.

The upcoming thriller Killer Elite won't open for another few weeks, but at the rate that Open Road Films is releasing preview clips, we may get to watch the entire movie by the time it reaches theaters.
Killer Elite stars Jason Statham as an ex-special ops agent who comes out of retirement to rescue his mentor (Robert De Niro) from a group of assassins led by Clive Owen. With the two clips already released in early August, another action-packed clip debuted earlier this week which showed Statham on the run from Owen and his bullets and, possibly, his disturbing mustache. The latest preview clip again sees Owen chase after Statham, though this time Statham is behind the wheel, and we all know that The Transporter knows how to drive.

Now that summer is over, movie audiences can look forward to the fall movie line-up, which includes two movies starring Jason Statham: September's action thriller Killer Elite and October's action thriller Safe. While Safe has Statham back in Transporter mode, rescuing a kidnapped girl, Killer Elite stars him as an ex-special ops agent who comes out of retirement to rescue his mentor (Robert De Niro) from a group of assassins led by Clive Owen and his ill-advised mustache.
With less than a month before the movie opens, Open Road Films has released another action-packed preview clip, following the two clips released earlier this month. The latest clip sees Statham on the run, while Owen chases after him.

The upcoming action thriller Killer Elite won't be released until September, but that hasn't stopped Open Road Films from getting the word out. While the first trailer for the movie debuted in June, this week has seen the release of two preview clips as well as a brand new trailer (via SlashFilm).
Starring Jason Statham as an ex-special ops agent who comes out of retirement to rescue his mentor (Robert De Niro), Killer Elite's two preview clips all but ignored De Niro, something that the latest trailer wants to change.

Last month, the first trailer for the upcoming action thriller Killer Elite was released, giving audiences the first look at the pairing of Jason Statham and Robert De Niro against a creepily mustachioed Clive Owen.
Based on the 1991 espionage novel The Feather Men by former British Army officer Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Killer Elite is being promoted as a "true story" (despite claims that Fiennes' novel was false) and follows Statham as a an ex-special ops agent who comes out of retirement to rescue his mentor (De Niro) from a group of assassins, led by Owens. Yahoo! has released two action-packed preview clips from the movie which show more of the movie's action in preparation for its September release date.

The long, sought-after cinematic duo of Jason Statham and Robert De Niro has finally arrived.
The first trailer has been released for director Gary McKendry's upcoming action thriller Killer Elite, which follows Statham as an ex-special ops agent who comes out of retirement to rescue his mentor (De Niro) from a group of assassins, led by Clive Owen and the mustache he borrowed from his teenage years.

ComingSoon has the first look photos from director Gary McKendry's upcoming action thriller The Killer Elite that stars Jason Statham, Robert De Niro and Clive Owen. Owen appears fighting with Statham in an exclusive Collider image.
While The Killer Elite seems to borrow its title from the 1975 movie from director Sam Peckinpah, the movie's plot comes from author Sir Ranulph Fiennes' 1991 novel The Feather Men. In the movie, Statham plays an ex-special ops agent who comes out of retirement to save his mentor (De Niro) and must take down three assassins led by Owen. Fiennes claims that his book was based on true events, as it followed the assassinations of four former Special Air Service (SAS) by the hands of a hit squad called "The Clinic." A group of vigilantes known as "The Feather Men" go after the assassins. Peckinpah's Killer Elite was also about a private mercenary group, but was not based on the Robert Rostand novel Monkey in the Middle.
Opening September 23, The Killer Elite co-stars Dominic Purcell (Prison Break), Yvonne Strahovski (The Canyon), Aden Young (The Tree) and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra).
