"Gru's back in the game with cool cars, gadgets and weapons!"
Promotion on Despicable Me 2 began over a year ago with the release of a short teaser trailer and escalated to more trailers and TV spots, most of which simply depicted the tiny, yellow Minions from the original, 2010's Despicable Me. Finally, a new trailer has arrived online that actually delves into the sequel's story, which sees Gru (voiced by Steve Carell) recruited to be a part of the Anti-Villain League in order to bring down his nemesis, the character voice by Al Pacino that has yet to be revealed (and does not appear in the trailer). Still, if the trailer proves anything, it's that if you liked the first Despicable Me, you'll probably like the second which is good news especially if you have kids, since they won't want to miss it. watch the trailer >> Posted 03.19.13 by Ryan
Sure, Despicable Me 2 is not due in theaters until Summer 2013 — and hasn't even finished filming yet — but that hasn't stopped the studio from releasing a teaser trailer. Not surprisingly, all we get to see are the minions... a quartet of them rocking out to The Beach Boys' "Barbara Ann" in their trademark minion-speak.
In the sequel to 2010's Despicable Me, Gru (Steve Carell) is set to face a new villain. Javier Bardem was originally cast but had to drop out of the production. Al Pacino stepped in as the villain — a change that sent producer Chris Meledandri over the moon Gru wanted to steal and left him telling Collider: "So exciting! That's a highlight of one's career. That's crazy, wonderful, and incredible." Watch the Teaser Trailer >> Posted 03.02.12 by reelz
Universal Studios has set the release dates on three of its high-profile projects. While the good news is that these movies are definitely getting made without forcing a director to rush to a release date, the bad news is that we have to wait some time for them.
Arriving first is director Oliver Stone's adaptation of Savages, based on the novel by Don Winslow. The drama features an all-star cast that includes Taylor Kitsch (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Aaron Johnson (Kick-Ass), Benicio Del Toro (The Wolfman), Salma Hayek (Grown Ups), Blake Lively (Green Lantern), John Travolta, and Uma Thurman. The story involves Kitsch and Johnson as two pot dealers who have their girlfriend (Lively) kidnapped by a Mexican drug cartel and have to find a way to pay the ransom. Savages opens on September 28, 2012. when will we get Despicable Me 2 and Horizons/Oblivion? Posted 06.17.11 by Ryan
