A couple weeks ago, the first trailer was released for the upcoming crime thriller The Texas Killing Fields (formerly The Fields), followed by a new poster and release date. While the movie is still more than a month away, four new preview clips have debuted.
Inspired by true events, Texas Killing Fields stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Sam Worthington as two detectives who team up to catch a serial killer who brutally murders women and dumps their bodies in a nearby marsh locals call "The Killing Fields." Soon, the killer begins targeting police officers. Director Ami Canaan Mann makes her feature directorial debut with the movie after spending ten years as a TV and movie writer. Mann recently explained to IndieWire that what drew her to the project was "the quality of the dialogue" and "the research" done by screenwriter Donald F. Ferrarone, himself a former DEA agent. Mann used both to create a reportedly authentic movie. watch the clips and read Mann's comments >>
