George Clooney was hauled away by the Secret Service during a protest outside the Sudanese embassy in Washington, D.C. today. Clooney's father, Nick, was also arrested along with other protesters who included congressmen, human rights leaders, and Sudanese nationals. The protest aimed to bring light to the continuing humanitarian crisis and oppression in Darfur and Sudan.

If you're one of the biggest stars in the world how do you announce you are going to quit talking to the media? You go on Oprah's show, of course. Lady Gaga announced in an interview with Oprah that she's going on a media shutout. "Other than this interview, Oprah, I do not intend to speak to anyone for a very long time. No press, no television, if my mom calls and says, 'Did you hear about ...' I shut it all off ... I don't read a damn thing." No word if Gaga will quit speaking to 20 million fans via her Twitter account. Though she might decide to keep that line of communication open after a report announcing the singer makes $30M a year from Twitter, nearly a third of her revenue.

Whitney Houston's daughter, Bobbi Kristina is reportedly hooking up with her semi-adopted brother, reports TMZ. Sources tell the gossip site that the 19-year-old finally confessed to her close buddies that she is dating 22-year-old Nick Gordon, 10 years after Whitney unofficially adopted the boy because he was having problems at home. Bobbi's grandmother calls the relationship "incestuous" but apparently Bobbi couldn't care less, telling friends it's not incest because the two don't share blood. And now there's rumors that Bobbi is now wearing an engagement ring. That could be an awkward wedding. "Are you with the family of the groom or bride?" Both.

Does Rachel Ray have a ghost ... writer?? The New York Times recently ran a story about a writer who claims to be a cookbook ghostwriter and suggesting that Ray doesn't write all her recipes. Well the TV cook fired back, telling Eater, "In well over a decade of writing recipes for many cookbooks, television shows, and magazines, I have not now nor have I ever employed a ghost writer." Ray also defended herself on her Twitter account.

In a tragic life-imitates-art story, a teen was fatally shot after a Houston rave meant to copy the party antics seen in Project X went out of control, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The copycat party is just one of dozens that have occurred after the release of the "found footage" raunchy teen party movie. According to police reports, hundreds of people arrived for a bubbles-and-foam party that was being held at a vacant mansion. When the crowd overran the mansion, people moved out into the street and that is when "hell broke loose," according to a neighbor. The gunman began shooting for "no reason" and shot the victim in the back of the head.

In paparazzi vs. star news, EW has confirmed that the New Orleans Police department issued an arrest warrant for "simple criminal damage" in the amount of $700 for comedian Russell Brand. On Monday night, Brand reportedly snatched the photographer's phone and threw it out the window of a local law firm.

Lindsay Lohan denied reports that she grazed a man with her car early Wednesday morning, tweeting "Scrape? This is all a complete lie." A rep for the actress told TMZ that "at no point was there ever any indication that her car hit anyone or anything." A police report released later stated that Lindsay grazed a car while trying to avoid paparazzi, but that it is a very minor case.

In entertainment non-news, there are plenty of new pics of a scantily clad Kim Kardashian out on the Internets. Kim, along with her sisters Khloe and Kourtney posed in their underthings in an ad for their new Sears lingerie line. Kim also went ahead and Tweeted "Can't sleep tonight..." along with a pic of herself where she is wearing little more than a sheet. Nothing but klass when it comes to Kim Kardashian.

There are plenty of proud new parents in Hollywood right now. Charlize Theron has recently adopted a baby boy named Jackson. Jeremy Sisto announced yesterday on Twitter that his wife, Addie Lane, gave birth to their second child on March 9. And that's not all. Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford have announced that they're expecting.

We close with "Kids Don't Try This at Home" news. ABC reports that a Houston teen was killed at a Project X–inspired party. The fatality occurred when several guns were reportedly fired as police tried to break up the party. And that party wasn't the only Project X–inspired one gone wrong. A string of copycat parties have also caused more than $100,000 in damage and handfuls of arrests.

The "found footage" style of movie experienced a resurgence in the horror genre after the success of Paranormal Activity, which spawned a multitude of other "found footage" movies, including two Paranormal Activity sequels. It wasn't long before the technique made its way into other genres, including the superhero movie Chronicle and party comedy Project X, both of which, it turns out, are getting sequels as well.
In January, Chronicle director Josh Trank admitted that he had some "ideas that could be expanded on" for a sequel should Fox want it, but admitted last month, "I'm still not sure [about Chronicle 2]... I was nervous this type of movie would be perceived as a gimmick, so I was in denial for awhile about what the potential of the film could be."
For Twentieth Century Fox, the potential seems to be a franchise with Deadline reporting that Chronicle screenwriter Max Landis has been hired to write the sequel. Trank came up with the story of Chronicle, while Landis scripted, or as Trank described it, "filled it out with the heart and soul and muscles." The pair's efforts ended up earning $105 million worldwide on a $15 million budget.

Opening this weekend at the box office is the raunchy Project X and the movie adaptation of a beloved children's book, Dr. Seuss' The Lorax. One's about being environmentally responsible while the other is about being completely irresponsible but should you go see either one?
ReelzChannel movie experts Richard Roeper and Leonard Maltin give their takes on both movies. Roeper said halfway through Project X, which he called Risky Business mixed with Paranormal Activity, he was going to give the party movie an F but changed his mind in the third act. In his review, watch what made him change his mind and find out what grade he ended up giving the movie. Maltin said the "found footage" teen movie was a different animal compared to its predecessors and that it holds nothing back. While the movie might appeal to teenagers, Maltin said Project X is a horror movie for parents.
Maltin didn't have very nice things to say about The Lorax, saying the Dr. Seuss adaptation, featuring the voices of Zac Efron, Ed Helms, Danny DeVito, and Taylor Swift, had no charm and that Seuss' simplicity and wit are trampled on by the movie's script. Roeper was a bit kinder, saying it's filled with delightful characters and is a solid piece of animated family entertainment.

Warner Bros. recently uploaded to YouTube the latest TV spots — incredibly, the 16th and 17th TV spots aired so far — for first-time feature director Nima Nourizadeh's first-person teen party movie, Project X.
Produced by Todd Phillips (The Hangover movies) and Joel Silver (Sherlock Holmes movies), Project X features a cast of fresh-faced newcomers who landed parts in the movie after a nationwide talent search. The micro-budgeted movie was primarily shot with hand-held digital cameras and centers around three "anonymous" high school kids who try to earn cool cred by throwing the most epic 17th birthday party of all time. Of course, you mix lack of parental supervision with horny teenagers, drugs, and copious amounts of alcohol and you can pretty much guarantee that things are going to get completely out of control.

A new trailer for Project X, the micro-budgeted R-rated comedy from producers Todd Phillips (The Hangover) and Joel Silver (Sherlock Holmes movies), is now online. With first-time feature director Nima Nourizadeh at the helm, Project X takes the "found footage" genre into new territory: teen party movies. The plot follows three high school seniors as they desperately seek to earn a little cred by throwing a party that no one will ever forget. And, based on some of the hijinks — and devastation — depicted in the trailer, no one ever will. Thomas Mann, Kirby Blanton, Miles Teller, Jonathan Brown, Oliver Cooper and Alexis Knapp star.
