With actors amassing millions of followers on Twitter, the social media site can be the best way to deliver news about a new project. For Simon Pegg, it's the perfect platform to debut the trailer of his new movie, A Fantastic Fear of Everything, to his 2.1M followers. In his tweet, Pegg said the trailer was a Twitter exclusive, highlighting how important social media has becoming in promoting movies (the trailer premiered on Twitter days before it will make its debut on MSN).
A Fantastic Fear of Everything was written and directed by Crispian Mills with Chris Hopewell serving as co-directors. Pegg described the indie as a "semicomedy."
Here's the movie's synopsis:
Jack (Simon Pegg) is a children’s author turned crime novelist whose detailed research into the lives of Victorian serial killers has turned him into a paranoid wreck, persecuted by the irrational fear of being murdered. When Jack is thrown a life-line by his long-suffering agent and a mysterious Hollywood executive takes a sudden and inexplicable interest in his script, what should be his ‘big break’ rapidly turns into his ‘big breakdown’, as Jack is forced to confront his worst demons; among them his love life, his laundry and the origin of all fear.
Currently, A Fantastic Fear of Everything doesn't yet have a U.S. release date but will open in the UK on June 8. watch the trailer >> Posted 04.06.12 by Chris
