A movie that proves that there is nothing worse than getting together with family.
There have been several attempts at revitalizing the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, and the latest, simply titled Texas Chainsaw 3D (formerly The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D), has its first trailer online. A sequel as well as a reboot of the franchise, the action starts after the events of director Tobe Hooper's 1974 original, thereby ignoring all other installments. The movie follows unwitting victim (aren't they all?) Heather (Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief's Alexandra Daddario), who travels out to Texas to claim an inheritance from a grandmother she never met, only to learn that everybody's proverbial "weird" relatives are, in fact, horribly and dangerously weird. As it turns out, her cousin is Leatherface (Dan Yeagar), and, from the trailer, it doesn't look like he's interested in getting to know the family.new trailers slicing daily

Several new posters for upcoming movies have arrived online, including one for the thriller Contraband. The movie stars Mark Wahlberg as a former smuggler who has gone legit, but, as things usually go for a former criminal in movies, he is forced to return to the business when his brother-in-law (Caleb Landry Jones) runs into trouble. The poster for the movie shows that Wahlberg isn't going back to work quietly and may be looking to grab something for himself in the process of helping out his brother-in-law.
Contraband, which opens on January 13, 2012, is a remake of the 2008 Icelandic thriller Reykjavík-Rotterdam, and the cast includes Giovanni Ribisi, Ben Foster, Kate Beckinsale, J.K. Simmons and Lukas Haas.
The thriller was directed by Baltasar Kormákur, who starred in and produced the Icelandic original. The first trailer for Contraband was released in September to good online buzz, prompting Universal to hire Kormákur for its upcoming comic book adaptation 2 Guns, also starring Wahlberg. more posters >> Posted 10.19.11 by Ryan
Director John Luessenhop (Takers) has slowly been assembling the cast for his upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre sequel/reboot, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D.
Earlier this month, Alexandra Daddario (Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief) was cast in the female lead role of Heather, who travels to a small town in Texas to collect her inheritance, only to find out that it includes a live item — her cousin, the notorious serial killer Leatherface. A week later, Tania Raymonde (Lost) joined Daddario as Heather's sarcastic best friend, and potential Leatherface fodder, Nikki.
Rather than allows the casting announcements to trickle out, Lionsgate had announced the rest of the cast for the movie, which will include some new, as well as some old, faces. who else has been cast? >> Posted 07.20.11 by Ryan
After a string of sequels, remakes, and prequels, Leatherface is returning in an all-new movie in 2012. The latest incarnation of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre will arrive in 3-D next October from director John Luessenhop (Takers) and producer Carl Mazzocone (Boxing Helena).
"I'm excited to re-conceive this iconic horror classic in a contemporary setting for a new generation of horror fans to enjoy," Mazzocone told Total Film. "Both John Luessenhop and I intend to deliver a new chapter derived from Tobe Hooper's 1973 masterpiece with the goal of making it as horrifying as the original, in 3D." details on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D >> Posted 07.05.11 by Ryan
