Carrey and Carell reunite to bring the magic.
It's pretty clear that Jim Carrey and Steve Carell like working together. The pair first worked together in 2003's Bruce Almighty, then both did voice work in 2008's Horton Hears a Who. In 2011, Carrey appeared in an episode of The Office, but it was the first to lack Carell as the show's lead. Finally, the two actors are together again for the upcoming comedy Burt Wonderstone playing rival magicians.
Carell plays the title role, one half of a magic act that also includes his longtime partner Anton Marvelton (Steve Buscemi). However, a rift forms between the two as a rising street magician named Steve Gray (Carrey) threatens to end their Las Vegas careers. As seen in the first trailer, Wonderstone must try to rediscover his love of magic, and finds help from the elderly Rance Holloway (Alan Arkin, reuniting with Carell for the first time since 2008's Get Smart), who inspired Wonderstone to become a magician in the first place.
