"None of you are safe."
Since the first trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel Star Trek Into Darkness was rolled out, fans have been wondering what villain Benedict Cumberbatch's (BBC's Sherlock; Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy) would be playing. While Trekkers kept their Vulcan fingers crossed Cumberbatch was playing a reinvention of the titular antagonist from 1982's Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, it was eventually revealed that the character had the less interesting name of John Harrison, described by Cumberbatch as a "one-man terrorist, who does despicable things for a noble cause."
That is certainly on display in the newly-released, international trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness, which gives its focus to Cumberbatch's Harrison, who starts out the trailer by attacking Starfleet, immediately prompting Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) into action. Also revealed is the first look at Peter Weller's (Robocop, Dexter) character as well as a more, um, let's say revealing look at Alice Eve as Dr. Carol Marcus. watch the trailer >> Posted 03.22.13 by Ryan
"You think you're safe? You are not."
A lot has changed since the first "announcement" teaser trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness. For instance, we now know that Alice Eve's (She's Out of My League) mystery character is, in fact, Dr. Carol Marcus, a love interest of Captain Kirk (Chris Pine). The character first appeared in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, which did little to quell the rumors that Benedict Cumberbatch's (BBC's Sherlock, Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy) villain character was indeed Khan. Then again, those rumors refuse to die even after Cumberbatch revealed that he is playing John Harrison, a "one-man terrorist, who does despicable things for a noble cause," whatever that means. Also, nine minutes of the movie were revealed during select IMAX screening of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey over the weekend.
So, with all that information, how much do we know now that a second trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness has been released? The answer is (still) not very much. the wrath of the latest trailers

According to the New York Post, actress Alice Eve (She's Out of My League) is currently in negotiations with Paramount for a "lead role" in Star Trek 2 (working title), the highly-anticipated sequel to director J.J. Abrams's 2009 franchise reboot.
The Post offered no word on whether Eve's character would be joining Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto), Bones (Karl Urban), Uhura (Zoe Saldana) and the rest of the gang on the Starship Enterprise or if she would be opposed to Starfleet. The primary villain of the movie is believed to be a male character, based upon Abrams' ongoing "discussions" with Academy Award-winning actor Benicio del Toro (Traffic), but that does not preclude Eve from possibly playing a nefarious character in league with the big bad. Most fans think otherwise, however. who might eve play in Star Trek 2? >> Posted 12.01.11 by BrentJS
The cast of director Barry Sonnenfeld's Men in Black III (MIB3) continues to swell even as the production remains on an extended hiatus due to inclement weather or "script issues," depending upon whether you believe Sony's company line as espoused by producer Walter Parkes or the L.A. Times's anonymous "person close to the production."
According to Deadline, Alice Eve (She's Out of My League) has joined the cast of the time-traveling third movie in the popular sci-fi franchise as the "younger version" of Emma Thompson's character, Olivia, the new head of the Men in Black organization that has been secretly protecting humankind—and refuge aliens—from extraterrestrial threats for decades. more about MIB3 >> Posted 02.17.11 by BrentJS
Just as soon as Henry Cavill was cast as Clark Kent, aka Superman, in Zack Snyder's Superman franchise reboot, casting speculation quickly turned to who would be playing Superman's main squeeze, Lois Lane, with everyone from Kristen Stewart to Olivia Wilde being mentioned. Then, there was talk that Lois might not even make an appearance in the movie as Alice Eve, Diane Kruger, and Rosamund Pike were all said to be vying for an undisclosed role.
Now, popular — though not always reliable — entertainment site LatinoReview is claiming to have answers to a couple of the big questions surrounding the Superman reboot. According to the site's "most trusted reliable source," Lois will be in the movie, and the role that Eve, Kruger, and Pike are up for is none other than the villainous Ursa from Superman's own home planet of Krypton. what's the deal with ursa? >> Posted 02.08.11 by BrentJS
The rumors and speculation over the role of Lois Lane in the upcoming Superman reboot continue, but perhaps not for much longer.
On the heels of the rumors of several actresses being lined up for the Lois Lane role — including Olivia Wilde, Malin Akerman and Rachel McAdams, to name a few — Variety reports that Warner Bros. has a different shortlist of actresses for a female lead role that isn't Lois Lane. who's up for the part this time? >> Posted 02.05.11 by Ryan
For several months now, it's been assumed that actress Alice Eve had landed the role of Emma Frost in Fox's prequel to its X-Men movie franchise, X-Men: First Class, but apparently negotiations for the role failed to pan out for Eve. British actress Alice Eve nearly won the role of love interest Peggy Carter in The First Avenger: Captain America before fellow Brit Hayley Atwell landed the part. Eve will still get her chance to take part in a comic book movie, only instead of landing in Marvel's ongoing Avengers timeline, she will instead play one of the young mutants of Matthew Vaughn's upcoming X-Men: First Class. Whew. After reading IronMan 2 critic reviews about this time last week, we were concerned it might be as lousy as Spider-Man 3. Then we saw it and it was pretty cool. But it got us thinking: What if Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Leslie Bibb, and the rest of the Iron Man 2 hotties weren't in the movie? What if it was 2 hours of iron suits, bad guys, and exposition? Bo-ring.
So with that profound thought we present the rest of the hotties we're looking forward to in Summer 2010.See The Hottest Chicks of the Summer Flicks >> Posted 05.12.10 by reelz
While Marvel was searching for the right actor for the lead role in The First Avenger: Captain America, word got out that the studio was also looking at three actresses for the role of love interest Peggy Carter — Keira Knightley, She's Out of My League's Alice Eve, and Emily Blunt. Blunt was offered the role, but turned it down, which leaves Marvel to decide between two actresses, only it's not the exactly the two names left after Blunt's departure.
