With Iron Man 3 officially in production, it didn't take long for spoilers to make their way to the web. In fact, set photos of someone (allegedly James Badge Dale) wearing the Iron Patriot armor. This lead to a tremendous outpouring of online speculation, starting with the fact that Dale was set to play cyborg Coldblood and not Iron Patriot. Then the question arose about the Iron Patriot since, in the Marvel comic books, the armor is worn by Norman Osborn, a character owned by Sony, as they hold all the movie rights associated with Spider-Man.
Turns out all that speculation and theorizing may have been for naught — fun as it was for fanboys worldwide — as new information has come to light that would seem to debunk the Iron Patriot spoiler. We feel compelled to warn those trying to avoid spoilers that the information that spoils the Iron Patriot spoilers will only provide more spoilers, even if they aren't confirmed and could in fact be more speculation which could mean that...ok, you get the idea. Proceed with caution. spoilers and a Thor 2 cast member declines to return >> Posted 06.09.12 by Ryan
Despite the fact that Christopher Nolan has said that he hasn't "even thought about" casting the role of Clark Kent, aka Superman, in the new Superman movie that he is developing for Warner Bros., that hasn't stopped rumors from spreading about which actors might be in talks for the coveted role. One of the rumors that has really made the rounds since it first appeared online has Chuck star Zachary Levi up for the role. However, in a recent interview with AceShowbiz, Levi said that the rumor is untrue, a "bummer" that it's untrue, but "complete fiction" nonetheless. what are people saying about Levi as superman? >> Posted 08.04.10 by BrentJS
On Disney's official Facebook page, producer Roy Conli (The Hunchback of Notre Dame) announced that Walt Disney Animation Studios' next movie, Rapunzel, would now go by the title Tangled. Conli also offered a brief synopsis of the animated reimagining of the classic Brothers Grimm fairytale, but did not provide an explanation for the name change.
I have some exciting news to share, and it was important to me that YOU guys — the Disney fans — hear it first. I want to tell you about Walt Disney Animation Studio's 2010 release, Tangled. It's a really fresh, smart take on the Rapunzel story.
In our film, the infamous bandit Flynn Rider meets his match in the girl with the 70 feet of magical golden hair. We're having a lot of fun pairing Flynn, who's seen it all, with Rapunzel, who's been locked away in a tower for 18 years.
I'm so proud of the crew working on this film — they're doing a fantastic job creating an awesome story with great characters and a stunning world — and it's all going to look amazing in 3D. All of us here at the studio are incredibly excited for you to see Tangled when it comes out in theaters this November.
Tangled features the voice talents of Mandy Moore, Reese Witherspoon, Zachary Levi, Dan Fogler, Kristin Chenoweth, and Donna Murphy. Posted 02.13.10 by BrentJS
A month ago, it was revealed that Zachary Levi, star of the TV series Chuck, was forced to turn down the roll of Fandral the Dashing in Thor, director Kenneth Branagh's live-action adaptation of the Marvel comic book. The addition of six episodes to NBC's third season of Chuck prevented Levi from committing to the role, which ultimately went to Stuart Townsend.
Levi recently told TV Guide that it was a "bummer" to have to pass up the part, but said that he would be up for another superhero role, if Marvel would have him.
There's no way to slice it. I am Chuck Bartowski in a lot of ways, so to be able to not only be up for a really big movie, but to be up for a really big movie that is a part of the Marvel Universe, that Kenneth Branagh is directing, that Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins are in, you dream about stuff like that. It sucked having to let that go, but again, that stuff is out of your hands. I believe that, based on what's happened, this is where God wants me so you let that go. I wish them nothing but the best. I'm sure Stuart Townsend will do a good job. Hopefully Marvel feels bad and are like, "You should be Captain America!" or Bucky at the very least. It definitely was tough to let that go.
Thor is scheduled to begin filming in January, with Chris Hemsworth (Star Trek) in the title role. Other cast members include Tom Hiddleston,Jaimie Alexander, Ray Stevenson, Tadanobu Asano, and Idris Elba. Posted 12.11.09 by BrentJS
The nerd-spy TV series Chuck faced down cancellation and came out victorious, even adding six more episodes to the thirteen already on order for its third season. Unfortunately, there was one casualty: series star Zachary Levi was forced to turn down an offer to play Fandral, one of the "Warrior's Three," in director Kenneth Branagh's live-action adaptation of the Thor comic book series, set to begin filming in January.
According to USA Weekend, the addition of six episodes caused a scheduling conflict that prevented Levi from accepting the role. Levi said that he had actually been asked to try out for the title role of the God of Thunder, as well, but declined.
I'm tall and in pretty good shape, but I'm not big and girthy like that.
