Leprechauns, ruined birthdays, and home school taunting.
Romantic comedy anthologies are becoming rather popular these days, particularly ones that revolve around a particular holiday, but comedy anthologies are a hard thing to come by — 2007's The Ten comes to mind as does the classic Kentucky Fried Movie — but coming early next year is Movie 43, which stars almost the entirety of Hollywood and has a director list almost as long. In fact, it's hard to believe there are some actors and directors that aren't associated with Movie 43.
Revealed in just the red band trailer alone, Chris Pratt and Anna Faris share a romantic(?) moment; Halle Berry ruins a blind kid's birthday; Terrence Howard reminds a basketball team of the advantage they have; Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts decide to give their home-schooled son an authentic high school experience; Emma Stone checks in on Kieran Culkin's STD; and Seann William Scott and Johnny Knoxville capture a leprechaun (Gerard Butler). That's not all, of course, Chloe Grace Moretz, Richard Gere, Hugh Jackman and Kate Winslet also appear in the very NSFW trailer, which does its very best to be as outrageous and offensive as possible.movie trailers and more

Twentieth Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios have released the first trailer for the animated fantasy Epic (formerly Leaf Men) online. While the movie isn't due in theaters until next year, the studios behind Rio and the Ice Age likely want to spread awareness of their upcoming project before their latest, Ice Age: Continental Drift hits theaters in July.
Very loosely based on the children's book The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs by William Joyce (who co-wrote the upcoming Rise of the Guardians), Epic is a labor of love for director Chris Wedge (Ice Age), who's been working on the movie for years.
The voice cast, includes Beyonce Knowles, Amanda Seyfried, Josh Hutcherson, Colin Farrell, Johnny Knoxville and Aziz Ansari, and was only announced last month. With voice-work probably still being worked out the trailer is filled almost entirely — appropriately and ominously — with the song "The Lightning Strike" from the band Snow Patrol. watch the trailer >> Posted 06.27.12 by Ryan
Nicolas Cage would appear to be in at least half of the upcoming thrillers in line for release: Trespass currently playing in theaters, Seeking Justice awaiting a U.S. release date, and Medallion in post-production. Unsatisfied, Cage has added yet another thriller to his resume.
THR reports that Cage has been cast in the psycho-thriller Black Butterfly, alongside German actress Veronica Ferres. Cage will play a reclusive writer named Paul who goes against age-old advice and befriends a drifter which, for some reason, doesn't end well.
Based on a French TV thriller titled Papillon Noir, Black Butterfly will start production early next year in eastern Germany, which is appropriate since German production outfit Bavariapool is producing the movie for a mere $13 million, which means that Cage isn't picking the movie to help pay for his recent financial troubles, but will keep him out of the country for a few more months. Actor Brian Goodman, who made his directorial debut on 2008's What Doesn't Kill You, will direct the movie. More on The Last Stand's cast additions >> Posted 10.20.11 by Ryan

Charlie Sheen is expected to appear in a Los Angeles court today to request full custody of his twin sons with ex-wife Brooke Mueller. This could make for some tricky scheduling, not to mention a very long day, as he's scheduled to perform at 8 PM tonight in Washington, D.C. The judge may not grant Sheen custody when he finds out Charlie wants to take 2 year-old Bob and Max on his "Violent Torpedo of Truth" tour.

Whether you were in favor or not, the Farrelly Brothers' The Three Stooges have not cast Jackass star Johnny Knoxville.
Contrary to a report last week that had writer/directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly waiting for Knoxville to "officially accept" the part of Moe, the process never made it that far. According to THR, Knoxville was "interested" in the part, but negotiations with 20th Century Fox "never commenced" and there was never a formal offer.
That leaves the Farrellys still looking for their Stooges, roles that were originally cast in 2009 with Benicio Del Toro as Moe, Sean Penn as Larry, and Jim Carrey as Curly, until MGM's financial crisis slowed production to a halt. Production is set to start in mid-April on three 27-minute short movies, which will comprise the Farrellys' Stooges. Casting decisions will have to made soon to make that start date.
Knoxville is lining up projects at Paramount, the studio behind the Jackass movies. Knoxville could appear in Mustache Riders with the Broken Lizard comedy troupe (Beerfest) and his Jackass co-stars Bam Margera and Ryan Dunn or First Man, writer/director Max Winkler's movie about a man whose wife is running for President that Knoxville is producing. Writer/directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly made some surprising casting choices for their upcoming The Three Stooges when they originally cast Benicio Del Toro as Moe, Sean Penn as Larry, and Jim Carrey as Curly back in 2009. But as studio MGM started experiencing financial troubles that halted production, the Farrellys slowly began to lose their cast.
Last year, Carrey admitted he wasn't willing to put on the required weight to play Curly, and while Del Toro was still considered the "frontrunner" for Moe as of January, Peter admitted that Penn's involvement in Haiti relief efforts made him too busy to play Larry.
The Farrellys pressed on with casting, revealing last December that their casting standards were to find "the best possible people" that could could embody "Moe Howard, Larry Fine and Curly Howard." Apparently fitting that bill is Johnny Knoxville. who's up for the other roles? >> Posted 03.11.11 by Ryan
In November of 2008, MGM gave the green light to a remake of The Three Stooges from writers/directors/siblings Peter and Bobby Farrelly. Four months later, the Farrellys announced a surprising cast that included Jim Carrey as Curly, Sean Penn as Larry, and Benicio Del Toro as Moe. Then, the bottom dropped out as MGM entered into serious financial troubles. As the studio tried to regain its footing, Penn both left and returned, right before Carrey decided he should leave.
Now at home with 20th Century Fox, The Three Stooges has a production start date but no cast. Earlier this month, Peter denied a casting rumor to EW that had Andy Samberg as Larry and Johnny Knoxville as Moe, while also revealing that Penn wasn't likely to be in the cast either. is benicio in or not? >> Posted 01.21.11 by Ryan
For those who have wondered how the guys from Jackass make Jackass, VBS-TV has made a 15-minute, behind-the-scenes documentary of Jackass 3D, including interviews with director Jeff Tremaine, cast members Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Jason "Wee Man" Acuña, and producer Spike Jonze, who reveals that Jackass is "about scientists doing science experiments." As usual for the Jackass crew, even the documentary is NSFW.

We just can't get enough of the crazy antics and ridiculous stunts performed (perpetrated?) by those wacky "kids" from MTV's Jackass. Jackass 3D brings all of our favorite goofball daredevils back together again for the first time since Jackass: Number Two in 2006, with more thrills and gross-outs than ever before, this time with the added "benefit" of 3D technology. That's right, when Steve-O gets launched into the air inside of a full port-o-potty, the flying excrement feels like it's coming right at you! How cool is that?
In the latest clip from the movie, the unofficial leader of the gang, Johnny Knoxville, performs a jet ski jump over some neatly-trimmed hedges while his toga-wearing cohorts—Brandon "Bam" Margera, Ryan Dunn, Chris Pontius, and Jason "Wee Man" Acuña, among others—look on. Posted 10.14.10 by BrentJS
While it's no surprise that the Jackass crew would converge for another installment of crazy stunts and pranks, it was a surprise to see that it would in 3-D. Director Jeff Tremaine told Collider that adding 3-D to Jackass 3D was simply "Hollywood 101."
Knoxville just wouldn't quit >> Posted 10.13.10 by Ryan
Jackass needed to be in 3D. Paramount suggested it to us and I liked the idea of it, but then the idea of shooting it in 3D was really scary to us. [Johnny] Knoxville was really resistant to the idea of changing our process. We were just scared that it would slow us down too much and just kill all the spontaneity of the whole thing. So, we did two days of testing and that’s when we realized that we had found the perfect company, this company called Paradise 3D, that could keep up with us. They just made it easy on us. And, we could see the 3D. Right after we shot it, we could go look at it, and we could see right away that Jackass was made to be in 3D. It’s perfect for it. So, after we tested it, that’s when both Knoxville and I got on board.
