The Other Side of the Moon
Neil Armstrong passed away over the weekend and it's almost impossible to quantify the cultural, historical, and political significance of what Armstrong accomplished as the first human being to set foot on the moon. A true hero in every sense of the word, Armstrong refused to cash in on his celebrity to seek public office and accepted only a handful of jobs as a corporate spokesman over the years, instead working as a spaceflight accident investigator for NASA — even coming out of retirement from investigating in 1986 to look into the Challenger disaster at the request of President Ronald Reagan — and as a Professor of Aerospace Engineering. Click the video above and join us as we remember the life and accomplishments of Neil Armstrong, both as a space hero and as a pop culture icon.
