Weeknights after the movies Posted 10.18.12 by BrentJS
Last week, Demi Moore had to drop out of the upcoming Lovelace, just three weeks after being cast as feminist author Gloria Steinem in the biopic, which follows the life and career of the late 1970's porn star Linda Lovelace. While Moore had yet to shoot any scenes for the movie, her sudden hospitalization was a surprise for the production, which has been shooting since the end of December.
Directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman (Howl) were sent scrambling for a replacement for Moore, and EW reports, have settled on Sarah Jessica Parker (Sex and the City) to play the role instead. Parker will start shooting this week. set photos reveal franco as hefner >> Posted 01.30.12 by Ryan
With the holidays right around the corner, it's no surprise there are plenty of rom-coms to ring in the new year — a major one being the heavily celebrity-saturated, New Year's Eve. With big names such as Ashton Kutcher, Katherine Heigl, Zac Efron, Sarah Jessica Parker and Josh Duhamel (just to name a few), what's not to like? Apparently, a lot.

"...the kind of marzipan movie that can sweetly soak up a holiday evening."— Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly
"Few of the plot strands connect to one another, much less resolve themselves with any degree of wit or daring."— Andrew Barker, Variety
"...a dreary plod through the sands of time until finally the last grain has trickled through the hourglass of cinematic sludge. How is it possible to assemble more than two dozen stars in a movie and find nothing interesting for any of them to do?"— Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Time
"...a depressing two-hour infomercial pitching Times Square as the only place in the universe you want to be when the ball drops at midnight on Dec. 31. (Believe me, it's not.)"— Stephen Holden, New York Times
"A movie so excruciating that it makes its predecessor, Valentine's Day, seem like Nashville in comparison..."— Melissa Anderson, Village Voice
"...bad beyond belief."— Peter Travers, Rolling Stone

After the bad taste Sex and the City 2 left in mouths of viewers and critics, it was probably suggested to Sarah Jessica Parker that she hang up her Carrie Bradshaw Manolo Blahniks for her next role. In I Don't Know How She Does It, Jessica Parker plays a busy working mom who tries to balance work and family.
Though it's not Sex and the City, it does share some of characters of the show: Jessica Parker voice-over? Check. Shots of Jessica Parker running around New York City? Check.
The movie is based on the the best-selling book by Allison Pearson and co-stars Greg Kinnear, Pierce Brosnan, Kelsey Grammer, Olivia Munn, and Saturday Night Live's Seth Meyers. watch the trailer >> Posted 05.30.11 by reelz

Longtime Uma Thurman stalker Jackson Jordan was arrested at his home yesterday — while he was Googling "Uma Thurman" — for allegedly trying to call the actress's cell phone again, in violation of her order of protection. Jordan had previously written to Uma, saying in 2005, "I love you maybe. I love all your movies. I think your hands are beautiful." and "My hands should be on your body at all times."
While they are not even officially dating, InStyle magazine has named Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart the Most Stylish Celebrity Couple, edging out Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick and Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis.
Tom Brady has three Super Bowl rings and a supermodel wife, but our bet is he'd trade it all not to be afflicted by male pattern baldness. The increasingly reliable National Enquirer reports Brady's car was spotted outside Leonard Hair Transplant Associates in Cranston, R.I., on Nov. 9. That's the office of Dr. Robert Leonard, who calls himself "New England's foremost authority on hair restoration." Posted 12.01.10 by reelz
At the Toyko premiere of the critically savaged Sex and the City 2, Sarah Jessica Parker said she hopes "Carrie will live on." And why not, when the movies pay out better than most winning Powerball tickets. SJP is reported to have earned $30M for SATC 2 and that number could rise to $50M if it shakes off somewhat slow ticket sales, which it appears to be doing.
There is one big kink in Parker's plan, however. Rumors that SATC 3 could be a prequel are floating around, with Miley Cyrus playing a younq Carrie Bradshaw, and she's excited, saying, "I'd totally do it. I would die, it would be so cool." Like, awesome! Where this would leave Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon is unclear, but it doesn't look good. Can there be a successful Sex and the City movie without them? Silly us. We expected Sex and the City 2 would be a rom-com that followed closely in the footsteps of the first movie. But then the freaky poster of the gals was released, followed by the even more scarily Photoshopped cover of Entertainment Weekly. With the stars looking even younger than they did in the HBO series, the movie has veered into sci-fi territory. Seriously, Battlefield Earth required less suspension of disbelief. Don't believe us? With next-to-no plot points revealed in the first Sex and the City 2 trailer, we went searching the cast list hoping for clues. While none were to be found, we did stumble upon some casting choices that have us
The supporting cast list offers up possibly the most unlikely trio of women on the big screen: Miley Cyrus, Penelope Cruz, and Liza Minnelli. Seriously. Did they throw slips with the names of all famous women into three generational hats (or turbans) and randomly draw? Or is this some marketing-fueled attempt to expand the audience? And if so, could it possibly work? Weigh in by posting a comment below.
Given the wedding scene shown in the trailer, the rumor of a Stanford Blatch–Anthony Marentino union extravaganza with Liza as the "entertainment" seems a whole lot more likely. Posted 12.31.09 by reelz
The Sex and the City 2 trailer has landed online. It doesn't reveal any major plot points — Samantha is still trolling for hot guys (as you'd expect) and has added a purse-sized dog to her fabulous bag collection (which you wouldn't expect).
However, we do find out that it's two years later and that the girls take a camel-riding, drink-sipping vacation. We also get to see the movie's product-placement poster in action.
But again, we're having a hard time remembering the first movie's happy ending, with Carrie and Big back together 4-Ever. Why do we see Carrie in her old apartment not once, but twice, in this minute-long preview? It would seem there's more relationship trauma in store for the couple. Posted 12.29.09 by reelz
